  1. At this rate it'll reach 8000 about the end of the season! Well done Waggot!
  2. There would have been initial dismay. However the real reaction would have depended on who we signed as replacements.
  3. That's true of Rothwell and was opposed to selling him to bournemouth for the reason you raise. However, halfway through his last contract year is way too late to be addressing this issue
  4. Someone should tell them that waiting for the stands to fall down and then rebuilding them isn't cost-effective either!
  5. Its simple alright but meaningless. If the offers were too low for the players involved then of course they would reject them. and that's obviously how all 3 felt. We've thrown 3 first-teamers away for nothing. That is failure and will cost more than nothing to replace them like for like won't it? Looks like we'll be reliant on loans again instead of building a side.
  6. How can it be anything other than tricky if our wage structure doesn't allow us Tommy what others will? It would be humiliating to see players choosing the likes of Preston, Blackpool and Bolton over us. But that's what could happen. Our new management team need to point out a few facts to our hapless owners and so-called administrators.
  7. No bids needed---they're free! Only needs one approach.
  8. Exactly right. When it became apparent that those three were unwilling to resign or that the Club felt it couldn't meet their demands then they should have been put on the transfer list and we should have strengthened the squad. As it is we are diluting it and getting nothing back.
  9. The right thing to do would have been to offer them new contracts which reflected their ability before their old one ran out.
  10. Don't agree. We paid way more than he was worth at the time.
  11. Oh yeah, fairer than any of that! Fairer than a whole set of circumstances while we're at it!
  12. Seems unfair to me. After all we were the ones who had to put up with him all that time he was crap! We don't actually know what the arrangement was though, only that there was one.
  13. I remember Mowbray saying it was the only way we could get him. I find that hard to believe too!
  14. Not to contradict you but haven't seen this anywhere else.
  15. That's only a good idea if the Club receives the money for Brereton. There is absolutely no guarantee about that.
  16. We know about Harwood-Bellis! Good move (sadly)!
  17. Nobody ever claimed to know, just drew conclusions from the players who were unwilling to sign a new contract. Not rocket science is it? i do accept that having a crap manager din't help either.
  18. Exactly. If it prices out first-teamers we rely on then its useless.
  19. I'm still not prepared to give up on him till he's had one season in his natural position.
  20. Takes some of the gloss from our new-found optimism eh?
