  1. It makes you wonder. If we don't go up this season, how could we ever go up given our salary cap? We need to have a side with several graduates from the Academy in it because we can't buy our way out of the Championship. But when some come good, we can't apparently give them a pay rise commensurate with what they could get elsewhere. They leave, possibly to Championship rivals, and we start again! Its not exactly a recipe for success is it?
  2. If we are looking for reinforcements we could have done much worse than that.
  3. No its the "Yawn Thread".
  4. Cheers me up no end!
  5. He's not very good, he's injury-prone so let's give him a new contract!
  6. No, I think we've got the points already haven't we? Can't help feeling if it can go wrong it will! Haven't got over Chrysteal Palace yet!
  7. Interesting to read the first two pages! I don't think anyone has us higher than 15th!!
  8. Well I certainly thought we'd be involved in a relegation fight at one point! Great to be wrong! Not even TM could get us relegated from here. (could he?)
  9. Like this post you mean? "Oh and if we do sign a first team right back then We should sack nyambi off to the first crappy club that puts in an offer for the ungrateful mediocre 💩 let him join the rest of the losers whose careers nose dived after they left us for 'bigger things'/more money."
  10. It feels like a win!!!
  11. Can't disagree with that but remember many of us were very sceptical about that Pears signing at the time.
  12. If a salary cap operates in the way our's seems to, then its not fit for for purpose.
  13. Yes----perspective . We haven't got past the first round (for us) in 5 years---that's perspective. What happened to the thrill of the draw, waiting to see who you'd get in the next round, a team being inspired and lifted by a Cup run? Some of the most exciting times we've had, occurred in Cup games. Not since TM rolled up. I accept we are having a great season in the League by the way, just fret the we may have lost some momentum today.
  14. Last 5 years don't lie Gav. Accept it was largely down to the keeper today but Dolan as a defender????
  15. You won't have been worried for the last 5 years then!We have a long, proud history in the FA Cup. Quite clear that TM doesn't give a stuff about it. A few thousand Rovers supporters waste their afternoon while he takes the piss.
  16. Out of the frying pan...
  17. Yes sorry, that's exactly what will be happening! 😢
  18. So nasty. Just assumptions. None of us know the £ elements involved, its just pure antagonism from you.
  19. "replaced easily prob" by someone you had never heard of a few hours ago! How about "you don't know what you've got till its gone"?
  20. I'd prefer the three we've got. Very happy with them and who wouldn't be, given where we are in the table? See no point at all on going on this long, long journey with TM and when it finally clicks dismantling the team! I, like many on here, have been through the loss of numerous terrific players at Rovers over the years and never were they adequately replaced. For one reason or another, everything is clicking at the moment and its typical Rovers to throw it away at that exact point.
  21. I read somewhere that Brereton is on £6500 a week. He must know that he could st least triple that elsewhere in an instant.
  22. Well you're right in 2 respects--he definitely wants more money and none of us know the sums being discussed. This has been going on so long that I suspect they are far apart. Maybe its a bluff from one side or another but maybe Nyambe isn't being offered enough. I certainly don't believe he's been given a generous offer and has turned it down. That seems the least likely possibility to me. If we are being stingy it will bite us on the bum, this so promising team will be dismantled and we'll have to start all over again. That's a dire scenario.
