  1. Lets pack it all in then eh? On a serious note, its a matter of degree. You aren't any good with that are you? Its all black or white to you. At least in the Premiership we are not at the bottom of the food chain.
  2. Of course you are right in theory but we have had plenty of chances to crack that 6 and we never do. So, i reality, imo we have nothing to play for.
  3. Once again we have nothing to play for and our season will fade out. We are no nearer promotion than we were under Bowyer several years ago. We are producing some good youth players, they will be snapped up by bigger clubs. We are on a downward spiral to nothingness. its the 1980's again with no Jack in sight. Our only hope of getting out of this is to turn up a manager like Dyche.
  4. Reckon Lenihan will be off, Dack as well if he recovers fully. Travis----it will depend on how far we go to attempt to keep him. We are just a feeder club if we can't get back in the Premiership. Can't compete on the wages front.
  5. What corner is anyone backing themselves into? Are you saying we are a sucessfull club?
  6. I hate that set-up. If we had Shearer/Sutton and Speedie in it, it still wouldn't work. So how's it going to work with this "quality" we have currently?
  7. Wake me up when we have more points.
  8. On the basis that we are never in the Top 6 and that, whenever we get within touching distance of it, we always bottle it, I'm predicting a loss. A soft free-kick just outside the penalty area in the 85th minute taken by Rooney is my biggest nightmare. Is it necessary for me to say I fervently hope I'm completely wrong and we win?
  9. I prefer Championship clubs that do the right thing by their fans.
  10. Obviously some hangover from TM"s time there!!
  11. Really ludicrous. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks a Championship game is worth, the key factor is can our fans pay? Given that the town is one of the most socio-economically disadvantaged in the country, I'd say the response will be "can't pay, won't pay".
  12. Made of granite that man. Kenny tried to persuade him to play one more season but his body couldn't take it. Didn't train between games, needed a few days for his knees to recover. A man- mountain, will never forget that headed goal against Derby in the Play-off Semi. No fear in him but terrified the opposition. What he or one like him would do for this current side. Sigh!
  13. What sort of money involved though? I honestly can't remember.
  14. Bit confused here. What response would you expect in those circumstances?
  15. He signed a lot of players but I don't think he had a decent budget did he? Wasn't it more a stitching a side together on the cheap?
  16. I'm not making it up though. On one of those instances where whoever was on duty insisted my post had not been deleted, it was up there in full as a quote from another poster! Yet it didn't appear anywhere as my post! Gremlins in the system are bad enough but I feel I've got one of my own!!
  17. 3 of the greatest players who ever played for us though? If 3 of that quality come through that would be incredible.
  18. Fair enough, I accept what you say. I must have Captain Haddock Syndrome!!
  19. Well I swear to you that I posted and it disappeared. But I accept what you say of course.
  20. I did reply to you briefly and in a non-hostile way but I'm afraid it was deleted once again.
  21. Straw Man again! Who has admitted they were wrong and been attacked for changing their mind? If this is a reference to Chaddy, he NEVER admits he was wrong! I think you should broaden your horizons and expect that other people will think differently than you and not be so offended all the time.
  22. No you don't hate to bring it up, you wouldn't do it so often if you did! What you can't seem to grasp is that there is no right or wrong here. Its not about facts, its about what people make of them. It is a FACT that there was a little period when we were down to the bare bones and the manager didn't have the ability to change the side around as much as he had been doing. Its also a fact that we played better and our results improved. Whether the two are connected or not is a matter of opinion not fact. I say they probably are, you say they are not. So what? This is presumably also aimed at me because you used it in your recent rant. I cannot deny using it sometime or other but I don't recall using it in months if not years. How I used it then very much depends on the context and what I was responding to. So, are people STARTING to to be so accused? When? By whom? I honestly haven't noticed it. You write as if there has been an epidemic of it. As for lines being crossed, I think the line is drawn when people are accused of being disappointed when Rovers win. Again, its a matter of opinion.
  23. I like Gallagher but I wouldn't have paid £5M for him! Also, given that his previous time with us was the most prolific of his whole career in terms of goals ( and presumably That's why TM signed him permanently) I'd play him where I played him then.
