Only one to command a big fee, But I'll leave it there, I sense a never-ending argument coming on.
-
SIGNIFICANT PLAYERS!!
-
We didn't have any other than Dack.
-
2 points---- Football transfer fees have gone up exponentially so your comparison falls down in that regard. Secondly, Venkys, for some reason at that time, made no effort to get the best fee possible for Duffy or King. Ridiculously low. Bowyer's record on transfers in is way better than Tony's I'm afraid.
-
Yep! Agree with all of that!
-
Wasn't Dack being lined up for £20M to West Brom but he ruined it when he got injured? Duffy and Josh King sold 2015(?) Gestade and Rhodes were the "crown jewels" of the day. Sold 2015 and 2016. As Parson will surely confirm we've been selling our crown jewels since time began! The only reason we haven't sold any under TM is because we didn't have any in the first place apart from Dack! And he was surely on his way. For a while now people have thought we'd probably get our money back if we sold Armstrong but his recent form has other clubs watching apparently. And, also apparently, Rovers have put a "10 figure fee"on him. That story is everywhere. Venkys are licking their lips, don't worry about that.Travis also likely to attract interest and Dack if he recovers and gets back to his best. Don't think Venkys care about the club's prospects, they didn't when our Premier League side was trashed before we got relegated, they didn't when Bowyer's side was sold off under him.

If we sell Dack and Linihan or Armstrong, same thing applies to us doesn't it? We usually do!
-
He's trolling alright but that's a Mods judgement I guess.

and very boring.

SH! Don't spoil a good narrative! -
It shows you that there's always someone worse off than yourself!!
-
this!
-
Clearly!

We need probably 7 players this summer which is an eloquent comment on last summer's Transfer Window. Some of our key players are not our's, some players are getting on and there is poor balance in the squad. However, we are winning so what do I know?!!
-
Better than the All-Dacks ( which I haven't heard either because I just made it up!)
-
And you would be the man to determine which is which I assume?
-
I don't recall one post demanding "Mowbray Out" after that Charlton game! Feeling that he is still not the man to take us further however is a completely different matter. Its not treason to have doubts about the manager.
-
You have a long history though Chaddy, people remember. Coyle for one example.
-
Not agreeing with him!
-
Ignoring his first half season when we went down, that's true. 3 years is more than most managers get though. For me its the pace of achievement and the ghastly and avoidable mistakes that have detracted from the general picture you want to present. Bit of an enigma our Tony.
-
Absolutely. We all criticise whatever PM is in power from time to time and sometimes say they're useless and somebody else should take over. Does that mean any of us want the job or think we are remotely capable of doing it? Course not! Similarly with football managers which is a way easier job by the way!
-
How is it rubbish if its 100% true?
-
He has to continue in this central position. Absolutely no question about it. Way better than any other choice on the basis of the last 2 games. If it doesn't last then fair enough.
-
His game is so much better when he plays centrally. I'd hate to send him backwards. For now, unless Chapman miraculously gets a start we are going to be reliant on Bell and Nyambe to charge up and down those wings. Not happy about it but there we are.
-
I'm delighted we are on a winning run and I hope it continues right through to the end of the season. If it does TM will have achieved more than I thought he could. That doesn't mean the points I'm making are irrelevant though. However, I think Tommy Lawton may be.
