Can't believe anyone can think Tony can taken us to the next level. This is his level----10th to 12th in the Championship forever. He's been here quite a while now and it could be argued he's stabilised us. But how long does it take before stability becomes mediocrity? He will go on forever keeping us halfway up the Championship or down, whichever way you look at it. We've never seriously threatened Top 6 all the time he's been manager, we need a real over- haul of the squad before next season thanks to his blunders in the transfer market. Will Venkys pay? Will Mowbray make the right choices if they do? Will he play them in the right positions? Time he went, need to be bold. Club dying week by week.

His 2 biggest signings are Brereton and Gallagher and they are both flops. We sold a keeper who was our's we now rely on a loan keeper who leaves end of season and the £3M quid we got for him has disappeared. We also have a loan centre-back whom we expect to leave also .2 key positions! I don't agree with you about Mowbray's transfer dealings.

Pursuing a Third Division's 32 year old keeper on a free seems to indicate their intentions pretty well? All my life we had great keepers, even when we were broke but not since Venkys came.(some brief exceptions!). Its as if no-one at Rovers understands the value to the whole team of having a safe pair of hands between the posts anymore. Odd given Mowbray's long experience.

He's had a lot of time to improve us though and has been backed financially. There has been progress but slow and hardly spectacular. I don't believe he will ever take us up or keep us there if he did. Just an average manager who simply looks good because of the dross which preceded him. If there is a serious intention to get us up, at some point someone is going to have to bite the bullet.

Millie Small died aged 73. "MY BOY LOLLIPOP"! Seemed an innocent title at the time!

Surely your permission should have been sought?

Coronavirus - Football Pay & Moral Vacuums

Any Premier League club is rich but why aren't Spurs copping as much flak as Liverpool? Because Liverpool are runaway leaders? There's a longer list but I can't remember who's on and who isn't, apart from City who aren't. -

I don't get why Liverpool are copping all the flack though. Several Premier League clubs are doing the same thing. Spurs and Norwich off the top of my head are 2 of them. -
They had captions on Netflix!!

Spooks got dafter and dafter. Good idea but killed itself.

Line of Duty was an absolute belter. The Celts do a good TV series----Hinterland, Keeping Faith, Shetland etc. You get the bonus of the scenery as well although Wales, as portrayed in these programmes, looks a bit like the Wild West----isolated farms that are half falling down, rusty machinery everywhere. Atmospheric though!

Rovers in Netflix football series

Having got run to reading the thread, realised my points had been made! A lesson to me (again!) Enjoyable programme though. Not expecting historical accuracy. Wonder how much of The Crown is accurate?!! -

In addition, people can carry it without knowing, suffer no symptoms and pass it on. Avoiding crowded places is therefore the most sensible thing people can do. -

Derby County (A) - Sunday 8th March [3pm KO]

You're right of course. The football in the 80's was much better for a start. But the ground was falling apart, the crowds were very low and you knew that if we found a good player, the likes of Everton would come sniffing. Not just players either---managers as well. I got to thinking "what's the point of it all?" and now I'm back there. That's really my 1980's comparison point. I didn't see a way out and then Jack appeared! No such luck now. Nothing a decent prescription can't fix! -

Well how about "if there is still anything to play for we will bottle it anyway especially with Tony's selections?" -

I thought you were quite obsessed with me last week. I at least turn up after every game---win, lose or draw! And I think there's a much simpler explanation than your's! But, I take your point and will now shut up about it -
Great things were expected of Daly as i recall. Little bloke wasn't he? Think i remember being called the new Douglas! Funny how some things don't work out.
