  1. Well you've said that and good for you but there are quite a few who don't believe that and say so, repeatedly. Cropped up yesterday didn't it? As for agendas, I think that term is being applied to people who don't change their mind every week! I like Mowbray, I think he's a decent bloke. He's done a good job but there are many weaknesses in his management and imo he's not the man to take us up or keep us up. That's my view, if others think that's having an agenda I really don't care.
  2. I've thought that for a while. If they are not wingers and they don't play wide, what are they? I've also read that they"are not wide strikers"! No wonder they usually contribute FA---they don't know what they are either.
  3. Hard to know where to go with this! I'll just stick with what I've written. Sparks Rover has got it, you have missed the whole point.
  4. Signed Hendry for next to nothing. Worth a medal for that alone.
  5. You started all this off with this comment " Lest we forget the whole “he’s only doing well because of injuries” debacle". I've made a valid argument that it wasn't a "debacle" at all and there's good points to be made. Your reply seems to indicate that there is no debate to be had. I wonder what you think the point of a Message Board is? Its a Rovers Board not a "cheer site" for Mowbray fans. Your's is the same mind-set as Chaddy and others condemning Sharpe for saying something critical for a change.
  6. TBF its a perfectly valid argument to say that, when his selection options were restricted by injuries and he had no ability to tinker, we kept largely the same side and did better! Can't see any problem with that.
  7. if it doesn't work, and it doesn't, another reason to find a new manager.
  8. Without being able to trap it? This is fantasy.
  9. Propaganda from Mowbray, a stupid thing to tell him even if its true. You sign the player, then go from there. He preferred Preston, probably to do with wages I'm guessing.
  10. We are "all set with attackers" but Brereton, Gallagher and Samuel are not good enough.
  11. "skilful use" is, dependency is not.
  12. Hughes had the ability to get the best out of them. Ordinary players could excel. Particularly true of Kuqi.
  13. Its our best season since we are relegated so just enjoy it mate! Stop worrying, it'll be OK.
  14. I seem to remember she actually talked about "borrowing players from other clubs".
  15. And look how long it took us to get going this season! Not helped, of course, by changing the side every week.
  16. He must think we have no memory!
  17. Message to Steve Gibson-----we have just the man for you!
  18. Yep---Walton did his best but the ref wasn't having any of it!
  19. Sorry, doesn't look a straight red to me. I'd have been furious if a red card had been given against our player for this. Clashes are inevitable in football when 2 players go for the ball. I'd hate to see it become a non-contact sport.
  20. Checked it again. Walton moves to the left well before Ayew strikes the ball and his weight is transferred to that side making is simple for Ayew to roll it into the right side. Perfect pen from his point of view.
  21. You're doing the Straw Man thing again! I don't recall anyone posting that! Are you saying all the credit should be Tony Mowbray's? Many of us would have given them a go earlier, that's true. Were we wrong?
  22. Fair point. Who would have picked this one though? Does show anything can happen but I have personally accepted we won't make the play-offs. When we we are on the verge of something we invariably fail to take the opportunity. We could actually have won all those last three games but came up well short. Infuriating.
  23. Well I'll have to have another look!
