You only deal in extremes I think! Mowbray has been here for around 3.5 years now. If he was a good manager, given the amount he's spent on players we ought to have been promoted by now? Or at least been in the mix. We have never got close. Its not a matter of him never doing anything wrong or never doing anything right, its a matter of looking at our progress under him over that period. Its glacial isn't it? We are as far away from the Premier League as ever. Bowyer found way more bargains than Mowbray did but they were sold under him. Dyche had Burnley up in the time Mowbrey's been here or very close. Time to critically assess the Club under Mowbray rather than just reacting in provocative bewilderment all the time. I believe , on all the evidence, that he will never get us up. For you, it really is a matter of how long you are prepared to give him, assuming there's a Club left by then.

What happened to a dedicated team of people who know what they're doing getting their research/preparation done a few months ago and being ready for the Transfer Window? Why always scrambling around at the last minute and ending up with those at the bottom of any list. It doesn't need in-depth research to know that we needed defenders urgently. Its going to be yet another season of limping along somewhere in mid-table----if we're lucky. And its killing the Club.

His demeaner at the end of last season and what fans have reported in the friendlies, suggests something is amiss there.

All true. We do play some decent stuff, usually for maximum of around 20 minutes but we never seem to dominate even poor sides. In fact we often lose to them! How we start is no guide as to how we'll finish and vice versa. Scores are usually close so the game can nearly always be decided in the last few minutes either way. We never wallop anyone. Can't remember the last 5-0! Has there been one under Mowbray? I haven't checked any stats before I wrote this so I stand to be corrected but, in my experience, we have never been as boring for such a length of time as we are now. That's just my opinion.

I can always think of clubs who are worse off than us but what sort of starting point is that? Shouldn't we be looking up not down?

You said "he will live and die by their results". I think you're wrong, he'll live whatever the results. We have hardly improved in the last 2 seasons despite the big spending. He should "die" on that basis alone.

We chased him for over a year. We waited till his contract ran out to avoid a fee and then let it drift till he joined Preston! Brilliant! TM got criticism because he mismanaged the situation and here we are still paying the price.

So he went to a club who did promise him first team football and got it. Meanwhile we are still struggling to fill that essential position. Why shouldn't Mowbray get some grief for that after we'd been chasing him for a year. Mental.
