Historically, Liverpool and to a lesser extent, Everton, to name two, always poached youngsters from the lower leagues well before they could be regarded as ready for the top division. They usually disappeared for two seasons till you'd forgotten about them then reappeared as first team players and then internationals! Liverpool saved a fortune in that manner and the likes of Crewe and Chester lost out. That method is exactly how astute "little" clubs in the Premiership are best able to survive.I'm thinking of Brighton, bournemouth and the like. So, I do worry about this. Unless we can show our young talented players we intend to go places we will be a feeder club.

That's the one thing I worried about with yesterday's game. A result like that and you get noticed------Nyambe, Travis and possibly Armstrong attract bids and the guts has suddenly gone out of the team and we have to "rebuild".

Don't make the mistake of judging the team or the manager on any one game. We all hope for more of the same but we have to be realistic.

Its rather odd isn't it? Mowbray accepts we have to put players on each wing, however they must, in no circumstances, be wingers!

Its the "no end product" part of his game that lets him down. Not great positional sense either. But---he's a great ball-carrier. I would give him time to improve. There was a game in the 60"s where we were 4-0 down and it finished 4-3! (About 250 of us there!)

Yes but he's a very good manager. That's the point many of us are making. Doesn't matter what formation you would like----the manager first has to agree, then put the best 11 players in their best positions, while signing players to fill the gaps eg wingers. and they have to be the right players. Do you really see this happening?

The "answers" are usually evasive, repetitive, deflecting and largely irrelevant, hence people ask him the same questions because they never got an answer in the first place! However, no-one is compelling you to read anything, so just calmly scroll down and you'll be free of annoyance. Easy eh?
