  1. Dyche had no money.
  2. Very much agree with this.
  3. In other words there's no change! We'll be running around like madmen with 5 minutes before the window closes. Mowbray "we did everything we could but we weren't able to get the deal through in time".
  4. As per usual. Why will it change?
  5. Well he didn't last year!
  6. My answer to the question posed by this thread is No Nay Never!
  7. But there is a clear conflict of interest unless both sides knew.
  8. I am vintage BRFCS!
  9. The key point is---did either side know that the intermediaries were working on behalf of the other side as well? I'm assuming they didn't but I don't actually know. If they didn't surely that's very dodgy?
  10. That's part of the dossier that Glen Mullen published isn't it? Was unequivocal about that as I recall.
  11. Delfuenso has to be a genuine contender!
  12. He didn't exactly build the team around him did he or give him any reason to stay? He wasn't always picked and he was told to play more like Corry Evans FFS
  13. There are loads but how about Martin Britt from West Ham? £28000 the quoted fee, a lot then.
  14. That's it in a nutshell. It doesn't matter how much money goes in if the people with authority to spend it are clueless. That includes the Raos.
  15. And we never got there at all!
  16. That's unfair, he's made some wonderful saves for them and he did for us too.
  17. In a perfect world Mowbray wouldn't be manager. You quoted a number of players that would make a difference if they came in. Anyone could do that! We all know the team needs improving and we can all think of any number of players that would improve us significantly. So what? The sale of Raya actually happened but the replacement to improve the team didn't. In the end I have no faith anymore that this transfer window will be any better than any others Mowbray's inflicted on us.
  18. Lot of assumptions there. What keeper for a start? Will we get Whiteman? Is Tosin coming back. I can think of loads of players who would improve our squad but .....
  19. No——thinking of the 2nd “semi”, Raya came off his line and confidently took a cross on the 6 yard line, both hands, and gripped it like his life depended on it. Then there was a good save, he threw it out immediately to the right-back whose through ball led to a goal. Very impressive I thought.
  20. You say this every year!
  21. Coaching better at Brentford? Possibility?
  22. Can't argue with that.
  23. Average in EPL is apparently £60000 a week, I read somewhere.
  24. Watching the Brentford Swansea games made me sob with frustration. We had a quality keeper and one with years to get even better. Made some superb saves over the two legs, including a pen and has really improved his distribution. Getting Brighton's 4th choice on loan, all for a measly £3m. Pathetic, Rovers.
  25. No, I'm with Gav on this. Lousy captain but inspirational and brilliant player--a true all-rounder----brilliant fielder, good enough to open the bowling and gifted batsman. We've been lucky in recent years---Botham, Flintoff and now Stokes. Best all-rounder ever though----Garry Sobers
