Over-thinking it again! Or getting his alibi in early in case we get nobody! -

Preston and Wigan-----the two fixture that we nearly always mess up. -
Perhaps he means nativity?

Bristol City (A) - Bradley Dack's Christmas Break

There's dilemma here---he would deserve it but he couldn't do it. And, to get near the play-offs, Tosin and Lenihan have to remain uninjured and free from suspension -

Very true. Easy to get carried away by the current run which could end any game. However, I have maintained for a long time that TM is not the man to take us forward, his faults would be magnified a hundred times. He could not compete with the level of management in the Premier League now. Even Dyche! -

If we were in the Premier league, just about the entire squad would have to be over-hauled if we were to survive and not be down by Christmas. The cost would be enormous but, of course, so would the revenue. My question is, would you trust TM to spend it well? I wouldn't. That's the brutal truth. -

and a manager who could find them. Transfers not TM's strong point imo. -

Eh?? I have never mentioned Rhodes in years! What are you about? My answer to that is not to play him! Loan him out and pray for a miracle is my solution. -

Its not game time that makes Brereton's first touch so bad. -

The worst thing that could happen is that TM/Venkys don't look to strengthen the squad in January because our recent form has been so good. -
Swansea City (A) - F*ck it, let's make it five!

I would also assume Rothwell and Holtby will start. We shouldn't miss him too much? (predictive text turned Holtby into "Healthy"! Good omen! -
It would be pretty much like it was on that awful run last season I imagine. And you'd be defending him. Lets be straight, all those demands for his sacking from posters on here, including me, were not about any mini-run of bad results.
-
Why should we take a 4 game run "in isolation" I've already said why I don't! Make it 20 and I'll definitely be interested!
-
4 wins are not an end in themselves. We went on a big run of success last season and where did we end up? Back where it started after a disastrous run. Perspective is needed here. As far as I am concerned, this present run has taken us well away from the relegation struggle I feared. With TM, it is not necessarily a pointer to the future. I would prefer a more regular graph of wins and I don't believe Tony will deliver it. Hope I'm wrong but I'm sick of wondering whether this 55 year old has" learned his lesson". Sorry DE, just realised I've said what you said!
-
Ignoring the fact that plenty defended him when our results were lousy and do so under ANY circumstances?

Its not realistic with Lenihan's injury record. -
That's what I think---we are doing well despite him.

We actually do NEED a real striker (ie one who can strike) but assuming funds are limited I agree the defence is the priority. we just don't have the resources to cover for iinjury/suspensions. -
In Douglas and England we have had 2 of the best players who have ever played the game. As you say, not bad for a small town club! You could throw Shearer in there of course but Duggie and Mike were our own.
-
Yep, you'd have to go back as far as Mike England. Left us in 1966, so 53 years ago. Best centre-half I have ever seen and scored a hat-trick at the Turd! 79 last weekend.

Derby County (H) - We couldn't make it four... could we?
47er replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Rothwell? Graham? Travis? Bell and Benno dropped? No Chapman of course. Will he ever kick a ball for us again in the first team? Why did he buy him -
That's my take on it too. The possibility of relegation has receded at least for a fair while. I can't get rid of the haunting fear that we'll go on another run like last April though. Its a pessimism born out of decades of watching Rovers.
