Greedy!!

Paul Mani, the point I'm trying to make is that promotion to the Premier league is never a slow and steady procession at the discretion of the manager. Someone unexpected usually comes from nowhere. You have to go all-out for it and take your chance when it comes. In any case you seem to be arguing that we have improved since Coyle left! That's no yardstick at all, Coyle is a fraud of a manager. Useless. Our better young players are not going to hang around for the best years of their career on relatively low wages hoping Tony 's going to do it at last! An offer that doubles or trebles their wages will be made at some point and most likely accepted. The money Rovers receive will be at the whim of the owners, Bowyer didn't receive it to rebuild his squad did he? TM hasn't made the most of what he's been given has he? We are on a good run right now and we all pray for it to continue and give us a real shot at promotion. But is TM the man to take us forward if we unexpectedly got there? IMO he is not.

Too little, too slow. A manager determined on promotion would have strengthened the defence when he had the chance. He didn't----twice!
-
I'm not really struggling because I never said this in the first place!!!! Those are your words which you made up and tried to put in my mouth!!

Dear me, don't go revolutionary on us will you? At what point in his glacial progression will you give up on him? Never I suspect----his kids will complete their university education and he'll call it a day I reckon. Then we'll still have to fret over Venkys getting it wrong again anyway!

Would you sign Christian Walton

They can have him back then---for nothing! -

Nearer the middle than the corner surely. Poor effort. -
I’d go Samuel/Arma up front. The guys fit after all this time, see what he can do. Stronger than Bremerton anyway. Rest I agree with.

What sort of commendation is that FFS? -

Exactly, the outcome is a goal for both mistakes. Unlikely that Raya will ever make a mistake as bad as that again in his whole career. You couldn't say that about Walton's error. -

Fulham was a tame shoe that he palmed out to the feet of a Fulham player who scored from it. Don't forget he's not even our player! -

The truth is we are used to having fantastic keepers year after year for decades, irrespective of what league we were in. Sadly this all ceased with Venkys. Like much else. -

I mix this one up then! I was there---sort of it seems!! -
Can Lenihan and Tosin play every game?
-
And some are inconsistent.

A night match. Absolutely beautiful day and night and two sublime goals. Sigh! -
True to a point! Definitely threw caution to the wind when he spent £12 million on two strikers who can't strike and when he gambled on Adebayaro and Lenihan staying fit for the season. So fair enough he can be reckless.

Tell me---are we an attractive side to watch? Tony promised us excitement, we'd be watching "on the edge of our seats". He didn't mean we were counting the minutes till we could go home! And nobody is claiming we are the most attractive side to watch!! I wrote, in response to your stats; So in the previous 22 games we scored 29 goals with our best attacking players available! See what I mean? You didn't address that at all did you? I agree with Jim, we have quite a few out, TM has fewer options so we have a more settled side. So we are gaining more points. Just like I've been arguing all season!
-
Please don't!!

Come on, we can all pick games where the line-up was too defensive, the wrong players were substituted for the wrong players, the games where we hardly had a shot the whole game and the games where we were behind or level but didn't mount a siege of the opposition's goal for an equaliser/winner. In addition, his total disdain for wingers is a sign of defensiveness in itself. if you're not convinced that TM is ultra cautious, then that's your opinion and you're welcome to it. Surprising we're not selling out the ground if we are so attractive to watch!
-
I laughed when people referred to us being only 3 points out of the play-offs! If the fixtures had been reversed and we'd played on a Wednesday and the others played on Tuesday we'd have been 9 points behind! At that point do we say "its impossible"?! We're back at our usual 6 points and that's where we've been just about all season.

Brereton showed his usual lack of control in that incident though. Was a sitter but his first touch was atrocious and the ball bounced away from him. Absolute stone-wall penalty I agree. If we'd still been 0-0 then there'd have been a riot (a little one!) Brereton at last showed something, let's hope its a sign of the future and let's hope he never plays on the wing again.

It was a "prim and proper" comment from Chaddy alright! Odd!
