  1. The Wharton money was in the 23/24 accounts so will count towards FFP up to and including the 25/26 accounts. The Szmodics money will be in the 24/25 accounts so will count towards FFP up to and including 26/27.
  2. 4 slots requires 35% of the minutes the club played to have been by English players. Where an ESC player is unavailable through injury his pro-rata minutes are used in the calculation instead.
  3. I think you’re right that neither of those factors matter. He was probably just forgotten about. If he is an ESC player it’s certainly seems a waste of a space.
  4. Wrexham’s turnover was higher than ours when they were still in League Two. They’ve people driving them forward not running them down. I think they’ll pay big again - whether that continues their progress is another matter altogether.
  5. Wrexham have had amongst the highest wage bill for whichever division they were in for the past few years. That certainly sounds like paying high wages to attract the players they want ( nothing wrong with that of course). We will of course have to wait and see whether they continue to do this in the Championship.
  6. Exactly. We deserved to win the Premier league, we were lucky Ludo had a stormer.
  7. Hopefully someone will be along shortly to clarify why Mafoumbi wouldn’t be an ESC player. I was wrong about something yesterday so I might be 2 for 2 😁😁
  8. ‘Wants big money’ - the blame game begins…
  9. Thank you - after a lot of digging I’ve finally tracked down the relevant regulations. My apologies to you, @Andy and @chaddyrovers Something else to file in my I was wrong book (it’s a big book!) Here’s the reg(s)…
  10. How is a pre-contract agreement anything other than seeking to register with another club? If your position is correct then the regulation I quoted is completely redundant. I can’t find that one month rule, do you know where you’ve seen it? (and Ennis was announced over a month before his contract expired…) (yes I know I said I was out, but felt it was courteous to reply since I was quoted).
  11. For oversea transfers yes, for domestic no. Anyways as I said, I’m out.
  12. I’ve posted the relevant regulation as to when a player can negotiate a new deal. Clearly things can be different with the current club’s permission. I’m out now as if showing the regulation doesn’t persuade people nothing else will.
  13. Nothing can be made official prior to July 1st unless Rovers agree. Derby not announcing anything is proof of the square root of fuck all.
  14. They’d still have had to okay him signing the Rovers’ deal early and he still didn’t officially join until 1st July.
  15. Nope, all three of those signed/will sign on 1st July. (After contracts expired/will expire) https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/june/15/sondre-signs-/ ‘He will officially become a Blackburn Rovers player – along with fellow summer signing Niall Ennis – on July 1st’ https://www.swanseacity.com/news/cameron-burgess-seals-swansea-city-move ‘The 29-year-old defender will become a Swansea player on July 1, having agreed a three-year contract, with the club having faced considerable competition in securing his services’ The fact deals were sorted and announced earlier would have been because their current club gave permission. As we want to keep Batth that won’t be happening with him.
  16. My wife says a semi is never enough.
  17. I’d quite like them being unable to pay the fine as then a jail term comes into play.
  18. Bellingham certainly thinks he is.
  19. They’d be fine - he’d get them loads of points.
