  1. It’s over a month since the Community Trust advised Companies House that Waggott is no longer one of their directors. The club are yet to do the same. Incompetence or something else?
  2. Doesn’t apply to fee restrictions (the clue is in the name).
  3. Given all transfer fees pass through the EFLs accounts I’m sure they’d notice if a club who can’t pay fees tried to do so…
  4. They’re not under an embargo they’re under a fee restriction. This means they can only make free signings ( or loan signings where no fee is involved). As an aside, even clubs under an embargo can sign players under certain circumstances.
  5. Obviously not a bowler but Pant will be a big loss for them too.
  6. It’s worse than that (or better depending on your perspective…):
  7. Very interesting, thank you. There appears to be no end to the number of people who want to own clubs but (seemingly) shouldn’t.

  9. Somewhere between the two… That says almost 18,000, I took the figure from the accounts which said (if I’d read properly!) exceeded 17,500. Both figures are of course far higher than the current regime could ever dream of (not that they care.)
  10. 2009 season ticket sales - 17,500.
  11. We don’t have to imagine - we just need to reminisce.
  12. Yes I can see how they could twist things to their advantage (if such an appointment is made). I’m sure there’s far bigger fish to fry, but lots of small ones can add up too. Thanks for your reply.
  13. With the media’s attention currently on the women’s game would now not be a good time to re-emphasise what the club has done to our women’s team?
  14. So the additional delay is because the club needs to approve those updates?
  15. Season ticket sales since promotion from League one (figures taken from September/October fans’ forum minutes): 2018 - 9641 2019 - just over 8600 2020 - just under 2,500 (Covid) 2021 - 6995 (still Covid affected) 2022- 8779 2023 - 9,067 2024 - 9141
  16. The fans’ forum minutes for the meeting of 22nd July last year quotes the figure as ‘just over 8,900’. The minutes for the meeting of 16th September (the day tickets went off sale) has the total at 9,141.
  17. 7 moved, 10 unmoved (between those dates). Ridiculous.
  18. @Lancaster Rover do you know anything about this consortium?: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwy399dr3g3o
  19. As far as I’m aware the EFL can’t force anyone to sell a club (as you said earlier they’re privately owned businesses). What they can do is say if the club isn’t sold it will be expelled from the league. I appreciate this could be viewed as one and the same thing as the owner would usually sell to protect any remaining monetary value the club has. I say usually as I could see our muppet owners saying ‘fine, we’ll keep the club and go non-league then’. I forgot to add to my last post, I hope the lads you referred to (and their colleagues) get the money owed to them and find new club’s to fulfill their ambitions.

  21. Surely this already happens? A few examples: These businesses are told when they can and cannot sign players (transfer windows). They’re told how many players they can register for the league (squad lists). They’re told what financial restraints they must operate within (FFP).
  22. Would anyone’s all time best 11 change if it had to fit our current system/style of play?
  23. Perhaps they see Pickering as being the fifth centre back.
  24. I think I’ve worked out where he’s got the figure from… 90,000 euros (not pounds) per year is the figure set by UEFA* The per year is not the length of contract at the new club it’s the time spent at the former club between the ages of 12 and 21. The above isn’t payable for Dolan as he is too old (turned 23 four days too soon) under the relevant FIFA regulation. *This is for clubs deemed by UEFA to be ‘category 1’ - lower category = lower compensation. edited to add link (first table in document): https://digitalhub.fifa.com/m/4c9ae72afc774ad8/original/Circular-1936_RSTP-categorisation-of-clubs-and-registration-periods_EN.pdf
