  1. ‘That’s from before my time at the club but I’ll look into it’
  2. I didn’t think he would but I’m impressed that he has.
  3. He should ask those questions anyway. If his story becomes the club not answering his questions then so be it.
  4. Do we think they’ve started negotiating with the players who are out of contract in ‘27 yet?
  5. Lowe is the owner’s eyes and ears, Pasha is their arsehole?
  6. As is always the case, how much you spend is only part of the equation. Ensuring the signings integrate into (and improve) the team is at least as important.
  7. Aretha Franklin - Chain Of Fools
  8. Just to come back to this (I’ve a bee in my bonnet!) In my opinion, the head coach’s bonuses (and KPIs) should be linked only to results on the pitch. Was any explanation offered as to why the club believes otherwise?
  9. Not that I’d ever work for them, but I’d want every promise they made me to be contractual.
  10. Thank you - so can we add him to the list of people where results aren’t the most important thing to them?
  11. ‘Compete with Ryan Hedges’ How about we sign someone clearly better than Hedges? It wouldn’t take much… Also, how does VI’s quote in anyway suggest we’re closer??
  12. Would that still not be contractual though even if it’s conditional? Of course hitting a condition on playing minutes is pretty easy when you’re the chap who picks the team…
  13. Smacks of a conflict of interest to me (for VI).
  14. Do you know whether any previous manager has had such a clause in their contract?
  15. I’m struggling to see any positives in being a Rovers fan right now. As bad as everything currently is, it’s almost certainly going to get worse. Every time you think we must’ve reached the nadir something happens to prove that we haven’t. I wish I could stop caring.
  16. No, they’ve made that nice and simple 😁:
  17. I guess how they’d handle the conversation with him would influence how he’d feel about the situation. Of course with our lot they’d almost certainly handle it badly. One final thing, showing empathy isn’t, and never will be, a weakness.
  18. A permanent transfer requires a new work permit - I guess the benefit would lie in him not taking up an ESC slot of any prospective new club. This might be particularly helpful if he were to move to a L1 or L2 club as they only get up to 2 ESC players. It would also make it easier to loan him out as currently he’d count as an ESC player for both us and the club we sent him to.
