  1. Probably because it isn't a bubble game so they don't want many thousands of the unwashed roaming around beyond their town boundaries.
  2. 2k and they are total meltdown it's a terrific thing to see. Taking over the home sections instead apparently, now where have we heard that before... Personally i'd have given them the upper tier and 1500 downstairs and made it a 'bubble' for them. However well done to those at Ewood who for once have put the team and fans feeling before money. #### em !
  3. There are loads of things that could be done whilst incorporating other things and reducing the capacity to something more sensible. Billionaires owning dozens of companies you'd think might be able to come up with something novel especially to attract outside investment and sponsorship.
  4. Rovers start doing well Nixon starts shit stirring. I despair at those who hang off anything he says these days.
  5. We had a good and growing fanbase in Chorley with plenty casual types heading over as well. Seems to have tailed off badly and been hoovered up by Bolton now.
  6. By and large the stewarding at Ewood has long been useless. It's just the club ticking boxes for ground regulation and a load of kids turning up standing around collecting some pay then going home. The coaches thing though i think people should just let it lie it's a one off everybody got there and back as far as we know. If you're paying good money for it you should expect service to match. However they've subsidised it to help get as many there as possible because of the stupid ko time and clearly they've done it on the cheap. It isn't a long journey whatsoever and people have a responsibility to sort themselves out but no doubt many turn up expecting to be treated like VIPs and many other just pissed already. It was great back in the day when they hired fleets of Shearings up to date coaches and had John Williams putting the customer first. Sadly it's a pound shop operation these days run by a twobob operator so i wouldn't expect much if it were me.
  7. He's a Liverpool player he wouldn't have got a mention otherwise.
  8. Hiring coaches with no toilets on in the year 2023 won't have helped Peegate.
  9. I'm a big fan of Brittain but he's a bad substitute to throw on in intense games it's not the first time hes been culpable when coming on. Obviously he's one of those who needs time to get into a game and needs a few easy touches first, when he starts he's fine.
  10. He's engrained in the Liverpool way though and if that was for them he'd have instantly got a free kick no questions asked unless they were playing another of the media darlings. The rot always starts at the top.
  11. The result wasn't good in the end but although it might not feel like it right now today was a good day for the club. Back on a big stage, fighting performance, good effort from fans, getting a reputation for a good brand of football and battling mentality. Only beaten just beaten at the death by a quality strike from a club with a stronger squad and budget who look like they'll be in the Prem soon. We've come a long way in the last 18 moths after basically standing still for years being fed lines about marginal gains. And it all started with a budget cut and youth policy whilst replacing deadwood on the pitch then off it. On we go, if people can't finally take some positives from it we might as well give up.
  12. To be honest Sheff Utd are the last team i'd want i the play offs.
  13. He should be a cult hero in the making for the terraces, sadly fans don't get with these days unless they can fit his name into a generic chant. I love players like him though.
  14. He was limping for a good while after that it definitely took his stride away for the rest of the game but great determination from him to keep going.
  15. Gutted but proud of the effort and commitment from all the lads no scapegoats today on the pitch. Fuming at JDT he made a terrible call at the wrong time which contributed as much as anything to that defeat but he got us there in the first place. Hope the players don't lose faith in him after that there was clear angst on and off the pitch when those subs were made. Credit to Sheff Utd they have extra strength and quality and it showed in them coming from behind twice and the second game they've turned around in a week. Should have been down to 10 though and it's a different game then at one nil up however there is a reason they are where they are. The cups this season have been more enjoyable than in a long time so credit to the gaffer and GB for making them important again. Now that's done with there's no excuse not to have a right go in the remaining games and hope Tomasson never repeats that lack of faith in his players at such an important point in a game again.
  16. Nowhere near as greasy as in Sheffield though.
  17. Can't recall who their boss was then but as long as i can remember Sheff U teams have always had a direct and physical approach. Suppose the boorish mentality is what they demand from the stands.
  18. I was in the middle of them after a buffoon of a mate bought two tickets outside assuming it was home fans when the guy said in his Yorkshire accent i have 2 for the enclosure. I'm no shrinking violet but their behaviour that day was pathetic although i have to say it was the BBE who started the pelting with coins etc at the end. I was young but everyone in that away enclosure seemed to be 40/50 fat shaven headed and drunk and only interested in trying to get into the home seats behind full of families kids and older fellas. Disliked them ever since.
  19. Could be onto something here the way the owners fund the club probably has something to do with Rovers not needing an early cash influx before summer like some others do. We aim at Waggot and co rightly so but the ownership are the ultimate shot callers so they need to show some ambition to increase STs holders significantly in one go.
  20. Living on a diet of Yorkshire beer and greasy chip butties it's no wonder really, the BP over there is off the scale by age 30. Result = always angry in middle age.
  21. Well he stepped back in time when left the M65 at Padiham so it's naturally erased. He'll be nicking ironing boards next with all the time he's spending up there.
  22. Who ? Never heard of him.
  23. If they haven't met the agreed terms then surely he shouldn't be allowed to play until they do.
