That's the good thing with players like him he's very much a squad man and he knows it. Only to stay in the side is to put the shifts in and hopefully hit a bit of form. He'll dip because of the type he is it's impossible to perform at such intense levels game in game out. So when he's taken out he'll know why and hopefully refresh then go again once he gets chance again. JDT uses the squad method and the U21s much better than Mowbray ever did. -
Head to roll after the transfer screw up?

That lad from Leeds was put on our radar as well and all iv'e seen is Sunderland fans say he's useless so we dodged one there. On the face of it though this guy was recruiting for a small national team it's a different scenario altogether being told to find specific type players for a league side. It's the muppets who hired him in the first place who need a kick up the backside you need specialist men for a specialist job. All he was ever going to recommend was Welsh kids he's familiar with and one's agents are pimping around wanting guaranteed games. -
They'll get to open sale and we'll shift 4.5k ish i reckon.

They sanctioned 8 million for Rhodes a decade ago paid at 2 mill per season, presumably because they'd been told he'd fire us up. Then they sanctioned 7 million for an investment signing in Brereton paid in instalments and add ons so they do do theses big commitments every now and again when the wind is blowing in the right direction. So it's not really a surprise and quite a sensible one seeing as it would only kick in IF promoted. Doesn't really matter though because it fell through so there is still something very wrong with the process. -

Yes 4 thousand walk ons for a dinner time live tv game at standard prices is excellent but people still criticise. Not really sure what they expect or why they still don't understand the fanbase from a modest sized town in such a hard pressed area. Of course the real issue is such decline in ST holders over the last 5 years in part due to continued price rises. 10k should be the starting point and the fat controller should have realised years ago that the only way to hit that is pricing that sits within the budget of the area. Instead he decided the best policy was charge more to less people. -

He's certainly looking worth the money now without doubt and nice to see there's more to his game than just workrate. Looking a good little player. -

Yet another tough one but we have great resolve in this team although at some point you'd expect a bit of fatigue to creep in given the intensity recently. That's the beauty of having a young squad though they'll run through brick walls when the confidence is up. As usual we really need to score first to get something. Stoke 1 Rovers 1 -
To be fair you'd want more than 3 million for brassing yourselves off to that 😆

Sponsorship is an obvious way to increase ways to bring in a serious amount to a club that has always and will always have trouble increasing gate revenue. We had for instance a large local company sponsoring a stand once over, i'm not a fan of stadium naming rights but i'm told Bolton have got 3 million for their latest Breezebloc deal. Often we've been told the owners have more than enough spare cash for Rovers but getting it into the club is difficult because of FFP. Could they not set up another or use one of their multitude of companies to sponsor a stand and stick in another million to offset a radical serious push to increase crowds ? How serious are they about that ? Because when it's left to Waggot and co all they are bothered about is hitting their own targets to justify their own position and probably a bonus. They probably see no need to invite extra pressure onto themselves by thinking out of the box when their brass is guaranteed just for hitting or nearly hitting a specific £ number.

Gally has finally started using his physical attributes it's like it's finally dawned on him he's a big strong lad. He's been putting it about more in the last few games than ever before hes even learned to tackle. There's a B tech Kevin Davis in there if they work hard on him. -

Yep whatever this season eventually holds hopefully we'll finish it strongly then on the back of that they do something radical to significantly rebuild the ST base. We've been losing fans ever since Waggot set about his squeeze what you have till it pops policy so it's about time he came back into reality. Both him his underlings and the ownership need to pull their fingers out of their arses and help this tram and gaffer get the support it deserves on a more consistent basis. The fans are out there and the belief is coming back but the only way to be big at the box office again is to take the hit and speculate to accumulate. A million quid to subsidise a season ticket initiative is nothing to this ownership and the amount of money its already thrown through the pipes. Long term they'll make it back with continued success and bigger gates will make a big contribution to that .Ewood with the size of it is a soooo much better environment for everybody when there are a few more in and it's crackling away all game like today. -

There's been a real maturity to Dolans work over the last month he's turned into a really creative all rounder instead of just being an individual flair player. -

This x10 Not saying there's anything wrong with either player they are both great but the side looks so much more balanced over the last 4 games. There is also a noticeable lack of messing around at the back relentlessly, Ayala being out is a part of that as well of course. I'd also like to think a lightbulb has gone off in the coaches room as well in regards to the dallying. We have played a few sides who've come at us as well recently which bins the need to draw them out. -
He's on a free so they aren't taking that much of a gamble really unless they've offered him silly money. That might change before he gets the paper to sign.
-
Of course but that wouldn't be happening if they got him back he'd be a replacement for Breo and maybe a decent one although he'd have to up his off the ball work 50%.
-
In defensive terms and stuff off the ball he very much was but his selfish streak was probably his main strength, head down go for goal and shoot on sight.

Have to agree from my experiences with them down the years but just a typical big city unfashionable outfit really. Always massive chips on their shoulders against clubs with smaller fanbases but a higher standing in the game. -
Last time Rovers won the FA cup there was a King on the throne........

Yep the overkill that ruins this fixture suddenly takes a back seat when the deep state of SKY gets in touch. Strange that although i assume they then presume a late tv kick off game at top whack prices keeps the mythical hordes of nutters away. The club and police must worship SKY.

Seems they are more insulted on there because of one Rovers fan post saying he's confident.
