  1. I don't see why people are still going on about Benson now i really wouldn't be surprised if he got a job elsewhere at a more ambitious club at some point. Then we'll replace him with a rookie from Wrexhams kids team or an old dinosaur going through the motions for a wage. How would we feel then i wonder.
  2. He's been like that all season he's a powder puff player whose main strength is maybe sliding a good pass forward. Their is nothing else at all to his game at this point in time, looks good when we press and get on top of teams but we rarely do that. Should never be a starter imo.
  3. The aim is to win games and he is a source of goals what the hell is the point of playing him 60 mins every game then taking him off and reduces our chances of scoring ? You've also failed to acknowledge he's being replaced by what can be best described as a defensive forward. Some fans need to wobble their heads when they support stuff like this then moan about lack of wins and goals. If he needs a rest at some point then give it too him but to take him off at 60 mins every game just so he can start the next one then rinse and repeat ? What a load of cobblers there is no justifiable reason that we know of that he couldn't have played a bit longer the other night IF the intention is to win games.
  4. I think that's an easy assumption to make but it's not the driving factor behind it at all when he's being taken off with 35 mins to go. Hes been back playing now for a long while and has looked fitter and stronger as time has gone on. 70-75 mins then yes understandable and you'd be doing it whatever the score but for me recently it's been purely a tactical call by JDT. Not one in agree with.
  5. The turning point in the keeper set up at Rovers under Benson was the arrival of Kaminsky. Never underestimate how important it is to have someone like that around the other keepers. Much easier also for a coach to work with an experienced guy who knows the ropes. Rookies working with rookies rarely works out well and Steele we he was just shite.
  6. Taking them off at that point was all about trying to settle in early for the grind for a 0-0 Seen it all before now with this fella, it was too early, upset what balance we had and we conceded not long after. Brereton has saved his gaffer from a roasting tonight this guy is the Danish version of Appleton.
  7. Houses on the car parks.
  8. Gallagher has looked a bit like he's not as committed as usual, nothing against him but i'd have driven him up there. It's time for a parting of ways and put 15/20k pwk to better use if we could get some sort of fee as well that would be a real result. Sadly for the chocolate bar expert his mob won't be paying money or wages for Gally so i'd expect him to be another who will walk for noting in 18 months after costing us millions.
  9. Probably only because they don't want us seeing them leave on 60 mins.
  10. You do sense from JDT he soon realised the limitations of the squad and will lay the blame at those above him right from the off. Although he has been protective of the naivety in public of course but he highlighted the lack of striking options from the off and has made no secret he wants better. With Mowbray there was non of that until the end was nigh and he knew the fans had seen and heard enough. Even then he was more interested in barbed digs rather than outright addressing it in public but before all that it was just oh we aren't all that and the owners can't spend much so we'll have a cup of tea and plod on. THAT is why he was here so long no other reason, he never rocked the boat he had a multitude of excuses ready at hand, never pointed the finger where it should have been. He also had the luxury of being given 3 million, 7 million and 5 million for forwards alone as well as numerous big wage players. Something JDT is very unlikely to ever get his hands on, now lets talk about how many times we even troubled the top 6 in his 5+ yrs here ?
  11. Apart from the 4 players we didn't bring in this time of course.
  12. Pretty basic stuff for goal poachers but it's another of footballs dying arts. God knows what goes on in these academies but they seem to churn out robotic athletes and kill any flair and individuality in forwards and midfielders. That's why i said with Thomas coming in like Giles last season our crop of forwards have no idea how to get on the end of his deliveries. It's a alien concept to them over the last 5 years or so.
  13. Yeah he maybe should just have said 'ah a big lad'.
  14. A load of the usual pointless corporate waffle without getting to the point on that Pegasus site. Only thing i can assume is building houses, a supermarket and maybe a mosque or something on surrounding car parks. We know that cars are going to end up banned from most urban areas eventually. Long shot maybe a new stand with hotel or something on the Riverside...and a couple of wind turbines on the hill !
  15. Cable sucker 🤣 I quite like that one it's a bit different.
  16. 'Creating' football stories. The truth hiding in plain sight.
  17. Any Rovers fan who doesn't blow smoke up his rear on twitter gets blocked thats been going on a decade. Doubt there are many left to abuse him and again it's nothing unique to Rovers fans. Many other clubs sets of fans have him down as a major BS merchant as well.
  18. They'll do what other good teams have done and jump on us and press high up forcing the suicidal jittery passing around the back and the odd hopeful punt to Brereton Diaz. Some big calls for JDT tomorrow but i expect him to stick Morton back in.
  19. No doubt he'll have to contract it out and there's nothing in the budget for that ! Do they even employ maintenance men anymore or has than all gone to franchise as well ?
  20. Exactly Such a remarkable coincidence two failed at the same time with one of those being a perfectly straightforward transfer.
  21. A good gesture but not much of a financial hit at all off only a couple of thousand and he'll be making it back when the dingle game comes around. No way this guy is missing his targets.
  22. It's a good gesture but unlikely to have happened if it wasn't for the recent fiasco. They'll be making a few quid from the prize money and tv for this plus gate share from a big crowd so it's more than covered.
  23. But you'd happily sacrifice the defensive stodginess of course ? How are the team supposed to gel when it gets swapped around every week ? Monday night BBD, Dack, Thomas, Buckley etc more than enough on that pitch to get something but they aren't set up correctly. However if Brereton puts away that chance we should have gone on to get a few more. Fine lines.
  24. Another raft of potential changes doesn't help form any kind of fluidity through the middle and up top.
