  1. Reading some of that above gives the impression Waggot was open to keeping Mowbray. He won't do anything proactive with the season ticket prices either despite obviously knowing how it's affecting gates and fans opinions. So what is he actually learning ?
  2. Bundles no doubt. Ones that sell 12 - 200 max but it's ok because Steve Still wants 2k + walk ups every game plus away fans all paying top whack. He's just praying JDT and the gang spike enough interest through results.
  3. Dack will probably now be a player who has to be used wisely as opposed to first name on the team sheet. The ability and football brain he has will always be more than useful but his fitness will probably need managing we don't want passengers in there just on reputation.
  4. What sense does it make if our overal price is in line with other rivals but they've signed up over 10k from heavily discounted early birds, but we haven't. Non, it makes no sense to try and spin it as acceptable because those other clubs have made a huge effort to help people out, ours hasn't.
  5. First day back at school, new teacher and most have no idea who he is whereas they'd got used to the genial old headmaster they'd grown up with. I hope he beasts the life out of them this next few weeks.
  6. He still has Lowe, Johnson and Benson so i'd assume somewhere in there is a role to familiarize him with opposition etc I still think it will be a steep learning curve for him at times though.
  7. That struck me as well when some were shaking his hand. Weed them out and boot them up the road.
  8. He is a genuine arrogant fool though so i wouldn't worry about his opinion. Had a few disagreements with him on twitter a few seasons ago over nothing and he tried to get me banned. He literally backs everything the club does and constantly slags the fans. A hero to the social media sheep though because he flies over to watch.
  9. Never seen so many hairy arsed football fans questioning their leanings 🤣 Lets hope he's half as good as he looks.
  10. Depends who the opposition is and depends if you call 10/11k home fans a big crowd. I'd love to be proved wrong but the erosion of ST holders over the last few years is at critical level now and needs intervention.
  11. Correct, they aren't going to these lengths to try and gamble for promotion it's a complete overhaul. Everything will be based around low cost brought in youth and home grown players. The process of that already began last summer the people there had no choice but to go with it or just go. Mowbray mumbled on about it enough times whilst his CEO hid in the shadows taking no responsibility. This is the right way to go for Rovers now but it's no instant hit although you never know. A real opportunity was totally blown last season so it's start again now and hope to see something good in a few seasons. Not ideal but there's no money for big players and wages again yet.
  12. Someone has to do the bibs and cones and put players through their basic drills so it might as well be him. The new guys can concentrate on the team and one to one stuff whilst Benson can go back to concentrating on the keepers. No big deal really now we actually have a head coach and his assistant instead of a manager and guy covering multiple roles and trying to run the whole operation.
  13. That's the impression i got. He's gone into Rovers and thought were are the actual strikers ? Then instantly probably understood why we ended up where we did last season.
  14. I think we always come back to the last few years as the first few were necessary in resetting the club. Aside from the unexpected few months form last season his last few years were largely wasted by his own design. Yes funding had stopped which muddied the waters but looking back on it he still had a strong squad and access to good loans. So for me the biggest factor was the transition to possession with no real plan as to why. That wasted 2 seasons and would have continued imo had he not had the wage bill cut again. Once he'd spent that 5 mill on Gallagher and that kind of money stopped he full on geared everything up for midtable plods. He himself basically gave up on anything else in his own mind and it rubbed off on the whole club. I always said the mindset under TM was always wrong and i 100% stand by that. Until the last year or so i don't think there was anything untoward motivating his methods. He's just an old school stubborn manager whose methods revolve around keeping his squad happy and aiming for averageness with anything else a bonus.
  15. I wonder if the football side of it will almost completely bypass Waggot now ? Manager DoF Suhail Owners That kind of thing ? Maybe he can devote his time to sorting out pricing although the thought of him twiddling his thumbs isn't good. There'll be more cuts, price rises and building schemes being hatched.
  16. Yes that's why he was captain. The days of characters like Nelson and Samba have long gone sadly football doesn't churn out many like that now. For the most part in the last decade our defenders have looked like they are terrified of opening their mouths. Last season we had him, Van Hecke and Wharton all looking like they hated the opposition forwards. A real refreshing change.
  17. 9/10 th i'd say. It's clearly going to be a season of transition they haven't brought this new set up and manager in for a quick fix. Its the start of a new 3 year cycle and we have to live with that. For all his plaudits for the job he did overall Mowbray has left us in nothing more than a stable position, not one ready for promotion.
  18. People wailed about no leaders for years, we finally create one who ends up captain of the club. Then it's good riddance he's easily replaced. Like since when has that ever happened here ? And then they say the owners never learn.....
  19. So we are still looking at 9/10k home fans once they've announced likely equally as stupid match day prices. 9/10 k should be the ST number, it should be the starting point for crowds.
  20. I think he was the one who got those pics put up around the place in his earlier years. Might have been Bowyer but i'm sure i recal Mowbray saying he wanted the players to be aware of the clubs history and to aspire to it. Or something along those lines, just shows how his narrative changed to suit once he'd settled in for the plod.
  21. That's how 90% of the ITKs roll on here so you're in their club now, well no actually you're not because you got it right. You and unleaded stand alone as the elite. Just please don't start sitting down for cups of coffee with Waggot and turn into another of his message board lapdogs 😎
  22. It goes on until we have someone address it by applying the methods Huddersfield, Bradford and now Preston have. Speculate to accumulate instead of squeeze what you have until every last drip has run dry. Sadly the man who we assume is responsible for this is by his own admission in the latter camp not the former.
