I very much doubt the home turnouts are bigger so far not including visiting fans. -

Nope, i was saying why he's here but if this is down to him then it confirms the actual tinpot operator he really is and he should be put on gardening leave. -
He won't be able to bring his own players in that's the part of this fabled 'project' that doesn't add up. He'll be able to bring some players in but that's slightly different and it all rests on the recruitment dept finding players like the one's he'd like to bring in but can't. The B or C side versions that don't cost much if anything or the kiddies versions were he might be able to coach them into what he wants. And even then there's a huge odds against us actually getting therm signed.

He's an experienced football administrator who knows how to dot the i's and cross the t's on league business but beyond that he seems pretty useless. -

It'll be the same old issues of having to get permission from India to agree to pay him whatever in the extremely unlikely event of promotion. Doubt anybody at Ewood would be able to agree a 10 million fee with Forest AND 30 grand a week without the big say so. -

Hull have had a shambles but they've done some things to placate their fans at least, cheaper STs and free away travel etc. We just bumble along listening to the same old bull whilst the fanbase dwindles and the plebs in office put the prices up yearly to cover the fall off. Can't even get the basics of signing loan players right now either. -

I would've quoted you if it was directed at you. However yours is just one of a number iv'e seen along similar lines though mostly as usual facebook and twitter. The accepting where we are, what we have etc i get that and have no problem with it. The ones who've bought the project talk on top of the journey talk to the extremes iv'e seen as in this season doesn't matter type stuff just boils my blood. You'd have to be beamed down from Mars if all of a sudden we think this is just the start of a genuine solid ambitious plan to build a Prem team in a year or two. It has every hallmark of down scaling again whilst leaving enough in place to tread water on a lower wage low spend model. To pass up the opportunities we have by having zero immediate ambition is plain crazy to the point of utter stupidity (again). You don't need millions to be ambitious you just need a bit more leeway and some genuine drive for it. We saw that this time last season and exactly the things i mentioned were missing. The whole idea of change was to try and find those things with a different attitude and voice in the building. Seems not. -

So the vibe is it's ok not to strengthen now and fall away again because it isn't quite our time the short term plans don't include play offs or promotion ? What planet do some of our fans live on ? Seriously come on how many pups do you need to be sold before any pennies drop ? Last season and this IS our time it's the closest we've been to having a chance of anything since the lunacy began 12 years ago. Don't let it pass without giving it the best shot we can in favour of a shoulder shrug, i thought we'd got rid of that back to the North East. The wheels of football for the average club are cyclical we are told well we are at the first up point in a decade so don't let it slip away. Because what follows will go the other way again quickly and on the model we now operate it is absolutely inevitable believe me. Another rebuild needed in summer with another slew of departures on the horizon with NO Armstrong money or money for anybody else to reinvest. For once get the foot on the gas. -

We are now becoming more and more aware of what the project really is because no one has actually ever said other than the add value line. So what they seem to want is a low wage low spend model that collectively might end up worth a few quid 'on the books' whilst they happily lose 10/15 million through it a year. That's it that's the top and bottom of it and why god only knows, living within our means and stability some will say. Well yes but that will end up being lower third champ or upper league 1 once the income and crowds land at a level in line with that. We really urgently need to be a trading club but there is no sign of that at all and not a brain cell in the middlemen who know how to do that, 25 mill ? of talent by summer gone for nowt - blame the players ! In my long held opinion it's those in the middle who push for this model because they get paid regardless probably even bonuses for hitting cost cutting targets. -

If they lose their main man i can very much see Mowbray wanting Gally as a replacement as he transitions them to wide forwards. Trouble is these lunatics will slap 15 million on him. -

To get a couple of million back for him in summer and his wages freed up would possibly be the smartest move anybody at this club could make. -

He was an 11th hour appointment by Rovers when they were running out of options for cheap yes men and he probably only took it because it was pitched to him. At no point have i heard he applied for the job or was interested in it before so when you fish in those ponds you know very little about each other until you work together. -

Well at least we know what the project is now and why these low grade operators are here, more managed decline. Only in Venky land could they expand the backroom staff then cut the playing budget. Why not start with the 300k Waggot steals as a living ? How do they have the nerve to do that yet let what will be at least 20 million of talent walk for nothing by summer when BBD leaves. The piss is well and truly being taken again and i thought when they didn't retain Mowbray and Venus it would be more of a cost cutting move than a football one. -

Well considering just about everybody running and owning the club is completely detached from the town it would be no surprise if that happened one day. They'd lose thousands more fans but would they even bother if they can run a low grade version plodding along with 5k ? It's certainly a model that is achievable with this crew. -

What little muppet he turned out to be, not stereotyping at all but he did end up playing the victim because Rovers actually expected him to turn up and honour his contract. -
He's a billy bullshitter i wouldn't be surprised if he does little to nothing at all other than getting a monthly direct debit from the Govt benefits dept. Clearly desperately looking for an angle or story on this to make a few quid so i seriously hope no one gives it to him. He comes across as the pound shop version of the Western Gulf guy and all his fake shit. If anybody can research his claims and provide some proof then i'll retract that.

Seems hes sent a few text out to a few friends 'help me out here guys i'm being innocently abused by BRFC fans on twitter' Absolute creep he is.

That may or may not be such a bad thing but we'll see how the season pans out although the DoF model we have now should minimise the fall out from head coach and staff changes. Trouble is it's them who need to give these guys the right players to coach and fit in the team structure so whoever follows will be similar. Try as i might i just don't see JDT pulling off a Wagner here but there seems no real remit for him to do that anyway. -
Asset stripping and plonking the club in the lower leagues permanently. I'm sure some of the associated leeches would have been fine with that but the owners bizarre need for a money pit seems to be the priority, so we've avoided that so far.
