They were hailing him a genius when he first went there for using two wide forwards and a false 9 in the absence of their striker. Not read that forum but from what i gleaned from the one i read on facebook they felt a bit more solid and organised under Neil whereas now it's all a bit random. Have we not exported the 'Tombola' reference up there yet 🤣

Ayala = Franco Baresi -
Yes Boro are similar in that as well but like Sunland seem to get a free pass whilst we are always a target for abuse. Strange folk these football fans.

Anyone give us a brief summary of what Dack might have said, allegedly. In code if necessary ! -
So they get 40k one min then 27k the next but get no stick because the numbers are still big compared to most. And we call an element of our fanbase fickle 🤨

First draw of the season here i reckon. We'll pinch a goal in the first 5 mins JDT will take off all forwards and we'll camp in our box for the next 85. After 90 Ref will signal play on until Burnley score then duly award the a pen after 10 mins when he gets fed up. Burnley 1 Rovers 1 A few bruised knuckes and blackeyes around East Lancs in the afternoon. -

It's easy to see how we struggle in midweek away games when losing 1 nil as we tend to play exactly the same. You have to chase a goal sometimes especially when there is a third of a game left and the opposition haven't caused you much bother at all. It's working so can't complain and hanging on all adds to the drama and relief at the end which is entertainment in it's own way. Just not in the purest sense but at some point there has to be a plan B because we got sussed second half of last season and it'll happen again. -

There was plenty angst brewing around me yesterday after the sub handed them the initiative. It wasn't revolving around lack of entertaining football it was more to do with concern we were asking to give that game away. -

Might as well drive him to Sunderland now. I hope Rovers have plans to reinvest his wages into someone decent and it's not just another daft opportunity to cut a big wage for the sake of it. -

Travis actually does the job Lowe could never do and that's just facts although it doesn't mean he's perfect. -
If they wanted anything other than to get to the end of this season in midtable then he was always the wrong man for the job. They'll survive and so will he, probably with a bit of help from Dack January onwards.

Another great win we are clearly drilled in the art of hanging on once in front rather than looking to kill games off. Looked for all the world like we would get another but a few break away chances for Hudds and a bit of a knee jerk sub imo. Defender on, striker off so early in the second half handed all the initiative to them rather needlessly. Like i said though that's obviously plan A that is drilled into them no matter the opposition and it's working. Good job they were so poor in the final third though i assume also JDT has more faith in our defensive players than the counter attacking ones. We aren't half good at making teams look better than they are but who cares. Job done again, another 3 in the bag and we move on -
I hope they haven't ordered more than 150 from the printers.

If only we had a striker like Lucas Jao in the squad we'd have an extra dimension and imo we would have been in the play offs last season. -

We try and play it but give it away too often in midfield and further up so end up inviting pressure and naturally start to retreat and be more defensive and trying to keep it at the back. Away from home often teams just don't allow us to do it and they cut us off in midfield that's why we see the non events we often do. Seems there's no other real plan when that happens as the idea is to get an early goal then defend deep. -

You get to the Prem however you can you never pass up an opportunity if it's there. Worry about staying there if and when you get there, it's been ten years and pre Jack it was 25 out of top flight. Sorry but talk of not going for it until we think we might have enough to stay up there is utter bollocks. We aren't building a side with money so if we went up we'd unlikely be staying there anyway first time but either way we'd need big investment. -

When half our own fans don't understand our own fanbase it's no wonder those in suits at Ewood don't. -

Well it's almost a tenner cheaper in the JW upper outer so not to be sniffed at i expect a few more in there. 12/13k home fans is still low but an improvement on the last couple of home games. Might draw a few more away fans as well. -

Nope they are now getting 8/900 where they were getting a 1000 + before and there is plenty angst at the price rises. -

When we are second in the league experimental line ups and project tactics should take a back seat. Cannot for the life of me understand managers and coaches who seem to prioritise squad development before the pursuit of points. Treat every game like it's your last, not like a training match. -

Can't see it being much different budget wise to last season so hopefully GB and JDT find a few who can fit in. -
It isn't working away from home that is 100% certain the evidence is overwhelming. So we have another who will just keep doing it until it does then hail it as part of the project but it's only justified if it starts working with a bit of consistency like it does at home. Otherwise it's rather pointless - literally - and will be our undoing.

They are handy to come on and and replace BBD or Gallagher and run around a lot when we are sitting on the edge of our box hanging on. I think that's all he actually wants from them and he tends to rely on like for like subs as his go to whatever is happening before eventually he throws more bodies on. So yes we are a bit hamstrung with no quality but there are a few other options and he bangs on about flexibility yet there is never anything shown when we are losing.
