  1. Well they don't tell the truth do they really ? How do you explain constant 60/70% possession stats but losing more than we win ? And if we are talking stats lets drag up Jason Lowe, certain good stats every week. Coinciding with being the worst player most weeks, running around a lot, touching the ball a lot doesn't make you a good player pal. It's all about what you do with it.
  2. He first started whining and whinging about it during another mid season death spiral a year or two ago. Along with saying how hard work it was and how he struggled with leaving players out after they'd trained hard all week. Only ever starts this crap when he comes under scrutiny for poor form, sob story for everything he has.
  3. How from that post smart arse do you deduct i didn't like him from the off ? My perception of the guy comes from watching him play i don't need dressed up sums to decide if hes been any good or not. Like i said handy player but not enough left in the tank to be a mainstay in the team. And the slow pace possession game doesn't suit him, fans concerns stem from being caught in two minds in too often in dangerous situations. On your day you're a good player though Jonno, come on how much are you on then ?
  4. It was just a cash grab that's why, get the PP and flog it or use the rise in value for external borrowings. Plan B is now run with a trimmed down cheap wage bill next season and hope for the best by looks of it.
  5. If they laid into the manager and the guy who works for him it would probably never have got to print. LT is in their pockets. I was amazed to see it on there to be honest so fair play to all involved, it obviously passed the tick box exercise.
  6. Plenty for a grand or two a week but probably non for the wages here. In Bennetts case it looks like a typical TM move, there's a deal on the table son until you decide what you want to do. So that might drag on all summer. It's long been the case in this era that guys who've bled good championship wages here end up in lge 1 when the Ewood gravy train runs out.
  7. Johnson is solid and has been handy to have around but -yet again- the possession stuff doesn't suit him. One of about half a dozen that it didn't and it was a major reason they struggled for results last season. When it was a bit more blood and thunder or counter attacking he looked better. The problem with him is simply this, he struggles to maintain a high level of fitness for whatever reason. That's probably why he ended up here, TM liked a collection of half fit midfielders he could rotate. Out of those that have left both him and Bennett will be on the lower end of the pay grade, or are prepared to be. That's why they remain.
  8. One of the best ??? Now you've overstepped the mark of piss taking.
  9. He's been sacked for less than last seasons debacle at all his other clubs in the last decade. 2 wins in 18 is a horrific tailspin for any club and to take no responsibility for it whatsoever is even more horrible. What's even worse is the deluded little mob who go along with that. Just what they expect to see next season with the same manager but possibly a lesser squad than flunked last season i'm really intrigued to know. And these owners are as big a shower of muppets as they ever have been. Keeping faith with this lot who've got everything they've asked for over the last 4 years yet look set to have us on the verge of the drop again. Wake up FFS !
  10. Not in Blackburn or Pune they don't, the two aren't connected in any way at all seemingly.
  11. That would be typical here though, struggle with the strongest squad you've had. Then decide to cut it right back and depend on the kids and the manager whose blown your money and taken you to 15th place. And expect it to be so much better ! All whilst his mate has sat in the background trying to sell half the training ground.
  12. Exactly, he's the architect of his own and the teams downfall. Also going off what he's said recently we can expect a few good resounding home wins in Aug/Sept. Then again in April/May but in between when the British weather kicks in as it does every year we can expect to struggle again. This being down to HIS brand of football not suiting a norther English climate. Why does he never get pulled up on such tosh ?
  13. Maybe the right idea for us but we have entirely the wrong set of people at the helm to pull it off. What we need is a crew running the club who are best capable of utilizing ever bit of backing they get from these oddball owners. The past few seasons its been completely wasted and now there is sod all left to invest in anything.
  14. Under 23 squad as a first team ? Then let the U23 manager who did so well with them run the team. This dinosaur will stifle the life out of them.
  15. It's no wonder Mowbray moans about not seeing his family who live like a couple of hours away. When he sets off there's no way he hops onto the A59, more like he drives to Hull first then follows whatever coast road back up to Teeside. He does loves a long drawn out journey that fella. Never known anyone with so little urgency his teams reflect that. Expect to be told next season how he's holding the young side back for their own good because they have to learn.
  16. The main thing is can he defend first and foremost and will he be allowed to concentrate on that. Or have they bought him more for his attacking/crossing ability ? If so then expect another Bell, that's what made him stand out at Fleetwood.
  17. Player whose contract is running out suddenly turns in a few barnstormers shocker. It's as old as the hills that caper.
  18. Another reason i'd like to see the back of Fury & AJ once they've settled matters then the HW div might regain some normality. Those 2 have all the belts which is great from a British perspective but at the same time it ties them all up. Wilder held the WBC belt hostage for 4 years fighting tin cans, now covid & Fury combined have meant nothing happens with that again. All eyes on those 2 whilst their promoters drag the life out of it all. Be more fun if the belts got splintered again imo. All this one face one name is all well and good but if as expected Fury prevails what then ? Is he going to fight all his mandos and try to dominate the division like a great Undisputed HW does ? Like Ali. Lewis, Tyson ? Is he bollocks he'll piss around and hang on to them as long as he can. Better for boxing if Joshua ices him, at least we know he'll step up for the mandos. Also he might lose again so things get interesting again. Otherwise it's Fury fighting cans again once or twice a year.
  19. Just wait till he installs his new head of recruitment. It'll be interesting what calibre the next set of loans are.
  20. No issue with Bennett actually staying the only issue - like many - is how the manager uses him. Good news on Nyambie, probably just gives them more time to cash in on him though. Bell it sounds like he's leaving because he wants to so fair enough. Chapman i really don't understand but some is probably making something from loaning him out. They are going to have to pull off some blinders this summer to ensure heads above water.
  21. I'd say the wage saving on Evans has already been offset by Ayala. I wonder how much of the cull is being done to cover that one.
  22. It's ragingly obvious to anyone who steps away from hanging onto his every word. He told us he'd talked the owners out of going for a double bounce after promotion. He said they wanted to spend but he'd advised the slow build journey instead. He said stability first, then building to challenge the top end. In order to do this he's gone through a catalogue of stuff, drones, analytical recruitment, scouts, Euro network and all the bells & whistles that go with it. Next it was he needs experience, got backing for that. Next it was luxury young loanees, got backing for that. Also in there he wasted 12 million on just 2 players. Now since he's failed to push it on in the last 2 years all we've had is a catalogue of excuses and sob stories. Hitting the heights of desperation now with comparisons of 25 years ago. Does the Preston manager tell fans they aren't the PNE of Tom Finneys day ? He can't do anything without a 100 million it seems so next best thing is make it more manageable for himself and his pals. You can 100% see why Boro fired him off after a few years ( then got promoted) and why he flunked at Coventry. Any research will show he was doing and saying the exact same stuff after a couple of years as he's been doing here. But we seemingly have to lump it for a lifetime because no one else in the football universe is capable of managing the current Blackburn Rovers.
  23. That's the market we are probably in now after the last few years wasted. Cast offs from a smaller club who regularly out performs us.
  24. Who in their right mind regardless of age thinks we are anything like the Premier League BRFC ? Even of the later years in there ? The guy is infuriating and insulting he'll literally say anything to spin his own agenda now. If we had any real Rovers connected directors i'm sure one of them would've flattened him by now. As it is on we plod to the tune of a self serving loser mentality manager and a set of detached box tickers.
