  1. He doesn't have a core solid system that he returns to when the right bods are available. It's been the same right through his tenure yet he likes to pretend different but the evidence to regular watchers is overwhelming. No need for that bullshit last night but that's what he comes up with time and again just to accommodate players. What base do the team get to play off when it is so disjointed ? There is just no need for it at this level when the core of your side is available. Yet just watch next game they'll come flying out the traps and go 2 nil up. Most frustrating and confusing manager in the clubs modern history and that's saying something.
  2. Yes it's an achiles heel of his all along and at times it makes no sense but he just lacks ambition i guess. Last season we'd probably have had 65% possession, 2 shots on goal and lost 0-1.
  3. I know a few are angry he shot off down the tunnel last night instead of paying a bit of respect to the good travelling contingent. I think though this is more of his theatrics rather than a snub to supporters. This season he's taken to prowling the touchline, bawling out certain lads but not others. And generally looking frustrated shaking his head etc. Non of this really last season when he had a load of experienced pros who'd probably turn round and give him some back. Most of the time he slunk back in the dugout. He's just turning it all onto the players this season in another self preservation mode. Some deserve some stick but he's the one who isn't motivating them or deploying them properly. It was predicted but the kids line is yet another for him to hide behind. Never anything to do with him or his coaches.
  4. The loans this season just look a bit desperate as in 'what can you give us for nowt in return for games'. We got a bit spoiled with Tosin, Elliot, THB but now it's a cheaper step down from them. At least you'd hope they are cheap but knowing this club we are probably still spaffing good money on some of them. It wouldn't be so bad if they were back up to our own but football messiah Mowbray is actually trying to conjor up formations for them. At the same time in doing this he's wasting our own attacking talent in favor of them being deployed just to stop the opposition. A point would've been handy last night but that wouldn't change the general concerns nor the poor efforts on show.
  5. I'd have no issues giving him a go if they could get him without paying silly compo. Thinking about it he's perhaps more suited to what we have now than the last couple of seasons. He's used to low budgets etc but here he'd have to get a tune out of Ayala, Brero, Gallagher to make it work. Got to get the big boys onside first.
  6. Can't really talk about boycotts when the club is cutting ticket prices to get punters in to support this cretins journey to his pension. I'd prefer to finally see him given both barrels after another dismal effort and pathetic team set up. I think as far as he goes that would be more productive than anything.
  7. That's exactly what he is and the only reason he gets away with it is because we are owned and run by idiots.
  8. Bowyer was boring in his own way as he was a very timid manager but his sides tended to be settled. We drew a lot and there was a feeling of needing to seriously up the tempo but he was never as confused as this fella is. He had Rhodes as well but he knew what to do with him to be fair. TM has had Armstrong and knew how to get the best out of him. That has papered over many cracks over the last few years though. That luxury is gone now though.
  9. I really don't know why they bother they could save a fortune sending trainees down there. All they do is turn Mowbrays words into print and toe the club lines. Pointless peasants, why can't somebody for once start asking proper questions and only accepting proper answers ?
  10. Most saw the opening tactics and said that. Yet we nearly got a point but in all honesty what happened was always the more likely to happen.
  11. He'll set out an attacking side against REading and send them out on the front boot. We'll win well and the facebook groupies in the crowd will be in raptures chanting his name. We know how it works, tonight will get chalked down as just one of those games. Mowbray absolved of any part in it it's sickening some can't see what keeps slapping them in the face.
  12. Agree with this although i'm a bit sceptical about Ainsworth we desperately need new ideas and above all a motivator.
  13. Bit of a stupid remark it all adds up to the same thing.
  14. He came up with yet another system tonight just designed to get in and justify some loan players. Whilst looking to nullify the opposition, the man has no faith in his team or himself in terms of just having a go. We've seen this shite time after time after time over the past 3 years in particular. And just like usual we get exactly what we deserve. No doubt he'll just shrug his shoulders and look to lump blame somewhere. That formation starting tonight was taking the piss just trying to make something out of Clarkson.
  15. The 85 grand sounds over the top however this is Venky Rovers we are talking about here. Someone somewhere gets in Balaji's ear and he says yes i have a friend with a private jet. Get him back and pay the price. It would be no surprise at all for something like that to possibly happen. Then in the next breath Waggot is laying people off and trying to sell fixed assets. That's how daft it can be at Ewood.
  16. Because he's obsessed with how Klopp. Pep and Southgate do things with top class player. Instead of being a championship manager looking to squeeze blood out of stones and create the best system for what he has, then sticking to it. By god are we long overdue someone who can do that, Mowbrays tenure is just 1 big experiment. Wheels would be hexagonal if the round design had landed on Tony's desk even though the originals worked perfect !
  17. We are heading for a scenario where Mowbrays big signings are hoovering up most of the budget whilst everyone else in on 5k pwk. Iv'e never been in favour of overpaying average players but certain guys like Lenihen, Nyambie etc are entitled to expect a decent wage. That's just life at a football club but surely they can offer decent incentives to get the wages up. How were they going to pay Armstrong this alleged 20 grand a week if he'd stayed ?
  18. That's the journey Mowbray and co are set to take us on as it's within their capabilities. Seems they've sold that notion to the owners now and it's a scenario that'll keep them all in their jobs for another 3 or 4 years. That's the top and bottom of it they are creating this illusion that we just cannot do anything without 50 mill per year investment. So the only option is managed downscale cutting the clubs cloth. Continuing to let the owners waste their 10 mill per annum propping it up whilst drawing their nice wages and expenses in the middle. Iv'e mentioned the old Crewe model many times. Whilst we may not be the BRFC of the past we can do so much better than that. You can only be as good as your ambitions and those driving them though. Sadly we are stuck with a corner shop mentality.
  19. We know the issues but it's hard not to want people to turn out for these things. Club could be using them to test the water for other things next season. Get 2/3k extra home fans then suddenly some lightbulbs might go off in some heads. Get 500 extra on and they've proven their 'doing all we can' point.
  20. Willing sellers, don't fall for the tripe this scenario has been on the cards all along.
  21. He really is the undisputed waffle merchant. Iv'e always baulked at comparisons to Kean but in terms of verbal diarrhea he's right up there with Coyle. A billy bull hitter.
  22. Sutton is clearly mixing up ordinary with extraordinary.
  23. Credible 2-2 draw following the same pattern as usual in front of 450 Rovers diehards. Manager praises their fans, blames our team of kids, absolves himself completely and the groundhog rolls on.
  24. Entirely possible that the honorable one walks this summer if no contract is on offer. Leaving us in a right old mess at least 50% of his making. Strangely though that might be the best thing for us in the long run.
  25. Was talking to a few reasonable Coventry fans yesterday and they were quick to point out Mowbrays part in their struggles a while back. No surprise to them to see the path he's taking Rovers down as when there he told the owners he could build a cheap team of youth and loans. Resulted in them being bottom and never recovering. Basically it was his project, it failed and the only time he took any responsibility was when he walked. In their opinion he knew he'd cocked it up and far from being honorable it was face saving before he felt the wrath. They'd very little time for the guy as a manager though as usual he always came across as a decent bloke. The contrast to where they were then and are now says quite a lot.
