  1. Transition, evolution not revolution, he knows what's wrong, we are nearly there - Just a few of TMs recent anecdotes. As for the fans, just wait till Dack is back, all our squad is fit. We'll piss top 6 - kind of missing the fly in that ointment. Personally i can't help thinking a proper defensive rebuild starting when he said it would. And a striker to poach instead of a 5 million galloper would've made things look a bit more balanced.
  2. It's blatantly obvious to anyone watching how it disrupts any flow and disjoints the team. He opens himself wide to critics with that repeated tactic that's why iv'e little sympathy for TM at times. Poor tactic poor signing it really is that plain and simple and just because Gally often works hard that doesn't justify it. We still struggle to score and we still lose games therefore it is not working.
  3. His version of intensity and most supporters differ somewhat i'd say. If he said we kept going till the end trying to break them down but the intensity was MISSING you could accept it.
  4. I was thinking more whip balls in front of him try and get him attacking them. Yeah iv'e seen better hold up play on Sunday pitches i don't think he'll ever get to grips with that. Just keep thinking of PNE away last season and how for the first half he was used as he should be.
  5. When you've got someone like Elliot and a guy as big and mobile as Gallagher why can't this einstien of a managers get that to gel somehow ? I.e get your big striker in the middle and get a relentless string of balls aimed at him.
  6. Agree Mowbrays free pass with the local press is pathetic he just makes it up as he goes along. Sharpe knows the fans feeling and the right questions but he either dare not step off the company line or has been told not to. He knows the score though he alludes to it.
  7. That's not being selective the games moved on since then. I agree it's no different than any other industry in that respect but the fact is in other jobs you'd be sacked. No way could you get away with taking the piss to such extremes. Football should be no different, nobody really cares what they do when they aren't there if they are playing well. But you should turn up to your job as contracted and you should be in a fit state to do it. I can't really see there is even a debate to be had on it. Just think what we could have had out of Marshall or Stokes if they weren't such piss heads. Bound to be a few more as well, end of the day it's us fans who are being short changed...again, by these tossers.
  8. Gazza was 30 years ago pal there's no comparison to a second tier journeyman. Football is the problem though and in Bens case like Bentley he's basically thrown the towel in because he can't do what he wants. Yet the managers were telling each other he's a good lad, good player but doesn't like Mondays. Surely you'd be telling him when you signed him you'd be expecting him in on time or he'd be walloped with a fine etc. Stupid industry.
  9. It's a privileged over paid job so they should be made well aware of that fact from a young age. Yes they graft and make sacrifices but the pay reflects that and quite simply in most other jobs piss taking like that gets you the sack. Football should be no different, a craic is a craic but signing for a new club for over a million quid on ten grand a week then going on the piss for a fortnight ? Come on that's utter bollocks if i was team captain i'd have had him by the throat.
  10. That's the facebook attitude. There's a whole industry of football but only Mowbray can manage Rovers apparently. The only perennially mid placed club in England who are 'nearly there'. Where is 'there' exactly ?
  11. If you listen to that Marshall podcast i think we've got another one there in Chapman. Just shows some of their attitudes and what they are allowed to get away with. Why the hell they don't put stuff in their contracts about turning up and fitness i'll never know.
  12. He's being flogged to death to try and make it work and it does in about 1 game in 5 or 6. That seems enough to justify it but 100% there's the fee behind it as well. We've been told in the past by a manager, forget which one, that Venkys DO make ask why big signings and wage takers aren't playing. I'll never for the life of me understand why he chased him so long then splashed out if he had this system in mind. Brereton this season looks like he actually fits it but big Sam looks like a beached whale floundering for its last breath. Pathetic really and it totally upsets the balance of the team.
  13. The defense yesterday was only missing one and we were against the least ambitious side in the league attack wise. The stats all stack up for most against Stoke, a horrible side. On the Dack issue if we look back to league 1 and beyond the best was usually got out of him by linking up with DG. That option has gone now and although he is a good player i don't follow the train of thought he can slot in anywhere a be as effective. Don't recall a lot of evidence that worked as well as the old method but nevertheless he'll be a handy weapon when fit. Like last season though too many are pinning too much on his return. He won't single handedly turn the season around i don't think, he'll need time to get back to speed etc. Despite those unavailable the squad he still has should be capable of doing better than 1 win in 5. My point is TMs methods remain the same whether 15 or 25 are available.
  14. The whole idea of his wasting last season on transition to possession is so we could compete with the better teams. Well we've transitioned now and still have Gallagher as a wide player. Dack won't fit this style and the full backs still can't create anything. He's just stringing it along by the end of the season he'll have come up with something else.
  15. We did for a few seasons once upon a time and it kept us in the Prem. Exactly what style do we have now ?
  16. It doesn't matter if everyone is fit or not you'll still get exactly the same from the manager. I'm truly amazed there's a core who still refuse to accept this. It doesn't mean you have to want him sacked to accept it but it at least would show reality dawning. A fully fit squad would by definition make us stronger obviously and we'd get a few more points you'd like to believe. The way he operates though and the faith still in under performers who would still be in the team screams what you see now is what you'd get then. The difference would be between finishing 13 th and 10th rather than 12th or 6th. His methods too flawed in terms of chasing the upper quarter of the division whoever is available. And this is not judging on today which was always going to be tough it's looking at the last year or so and the bigger picture.
  17. There'll be far bigger tests than today for Johnson so i wouldn't put too much stock in that.
  18. Not happening, he's safer than Churchills statue surrounded by Millwall and Royal Marines.
  19. 100% this He's got the whole of the inside of the club stitched up in his favour. Not in a dodgy way but nevertheless it makes change very precarious. These idiots allow it because they stripped out the entire heart of the club. No proper directors means the void is filled with Venkys yes men and the managers pals. A happy old boys club who just do enough to keep everyone off their backs, very easy when there are no fans there. I can guarantee he'd be in for some unrest this season if there was.
  20. Tony's answer ( because he knows what's wrong he's told us ) will be to get on the phone to India and ask for more drones and operators and more performance analysists Throw in a couple more tvs and lads to watch them for the scouting network as well. That'll placate the bosses, oh and tell them their 5 million pound investment styriker is now well on the way to becoming a ten million pound winger.
  21. Doesn't matter who manages Stoke they still remain the most boring shithouse team in the league. Have been for decades !
  22. Finally gets a tune out of Trybull then takes him off for running around too much !
  23. Doesn't have too, he cost 5 million so the numpty who wasted that on him will keep throwing him in.
  24. Only Rovers could sign a worse left back than one of the worst we've ever had.
