  1. A spice boy batting above his true level on the back of the local boy tag in a poor era by Liverpools standards ?
  2. He's a quality footballer Mulgrew but never struck me as a really good defender however like you say it's what's around you that can make the difference. Coming from Celtic to here at that point was probably a bit of a shock in terms of quality and ambition.
  3. Unpopular opinion as i thought he wasn't up to much but Dailly gets in before Mulgrew for me any day. He actually had Prem lge pedigree whereas Mulgrew's only ever looked good here in lge 1.
  4. At least there'll now be no need for an incoming transfer thread for the next few windows !
  5. I'll be honest i never liked Ferguson he was a good player in his own right but just didn't fit here. I was struggling for midfielders i'd forgot about Mckinley so yeah deffo him in for wee scrote bazza. Gally could tear away and put a good ball in and in true TM style was just shoe horning a fav of mine in. Wouldn't have Matteo anywhere near it though.
  6. Friedel Berg, Hendry, Nelsen, Le Saux Ripley, Tugay, Sherwood, Duff Shearer, Sutton
  7. Blacklaw Dawson, Hendry, Hanley, Davidson K. Gally, Ferguson, Millar, Conway Archibald, Speedie
  8. Can't have one rule for one lot and not the others. Either null and void the whole football pyramid or come to another arrangement, for all ! Harder for lads who work obviously but easier to play non league games behind closed doors when lockdown is relaxed a bit i'd have thought.
  9. Right now i'd take a striker on the wing, a midfielder at full back and a full back as centre forward. Anything just to see some sort of football !!!
  10. Time for the £199 STs, get as many back as possible it could be desperate times and they call for desperate measures. When the Tories are getting generous you know it's serious so Waggot/Cheston/Venkys follow their lead.
  11. If one small good thing could come out of this it would be championship wages becoming more realistic all across the board Half the players in this basic bread and butter league don't know they are born Liverpool not getting the Prem title would be the icing on the cake ?
  12. Yet again brings into focus the ludicrous investment signing and that money totally spaffed. Other side of the coin is the 1.3 million TM & Waggot left in the bank in Jan from the budget might just be keeping it afloat for now. Heroes one and all.....
  13. Next season will be a massive challenge now on and off the park make no mistake. The whole thing could be about to be turned on its head again. History tells us in hard economic times Blackburn is always one of the first to react to a downward spiral and is always one of the hardest hit areas. Hopefully it'll blow over but i fear some hard times ahead again akin to the 80's unless Boris & co work some miracles to underpin the whole economy.
  14. Tragic no other way to describe it - RIP
  15. Obviously i hope he makes a full recovery but there were similarities in the winding down look when he was here.
  16. Bad do if true, very poor here but seems he's got legendary status at Cardiff. Awful rumours.
  17. Alongside the V's shares slide this could well push us to having to offload a few this summer. Let's hope they can get by with cutting deadwood once and for all. Mulgrew, Smallwood, Samuel, the reserve keeper out, loan Brereton, Chapman and sell Evans for a few quid - save a small fortune. Not one of them will really be missed in the grand scheme of things going off this seasons evidence.
  18. Vogel up top on his own, Roberts at right back and Santa Cruz wide right striker. Rovers 1 Manure 4 11,200 + 7500 red plastic turds.
  19. Another idea for the riverside if it's revamped, cold storage for hire sod the hotel !
  20. Those we've loaned out will be back, the back up keeper will be back in. As for the rest well Tony just loves handed out fresh contracts to lads he likes......
  21. Could be a financial disaster this, FFP will just have to relax it's already ridiculous rules as owners, banks, debt and losses will be propping up most clubs now.
