  1. What does that entail? And for what purpose? btw Been to Cafe Bees a couple of times and it's good. I hope they do OK but....... it is Blackburn rem.
  2. Amanda at Goodfellos was a trier and had good ideas BUT eventually she suffered the Blackburn curse where every 'nice' establishment ends up packing in or going tits up. I must say and I dont know why but the clientele seemed to change for the worse latterly too.
  3. Is the toilet floor still awash with p1ss late on?
  4. Never been to Latino Lounge but imo the other two are poor fare. A nice plate of pasta is excellent for lunch (washed down with a glass or two of fine wine of course) but imo a long way off the pace for an evening meal.
  5. Good but not best, see my post, although the Elephants ears (garlic nan) are the best in the world. Yoda I bet you can rem the khyber when they only had 3 curries. Potato, Keema and Cauliflower! I seem to think they were about 12.5p too.
  6. OK Blackburn area Best pub food .... Millstones at Mellor. (dont choose the bland fish and chips though.) Best Indian / Pakistani (eat in and take away)... Bukhara at Samlesbury. (special mention for ravenous late night beer heads..... Khyber ) Best Thai... Little Elephant at Darwen. Best Chinky... Ocean Palace at Darwen. When I say best I mean by quite some distance. btw Clitheroe / Whalley has a fine selection too.
  7. Correct. Allardyce was Shepherds man and as such became Ashley's fall guy for when the going got tough. btw Not often I concur with you Jim but I am in total agreement with your last sentence.
  8. Not according to Keegan.
  9. Free from emotive crap these are the FACTS that our board will have in front of them. since both teams were promoted..... ---------------- BRFC --- Pos -------- BWFC --- Pos 2007/8 .......... 23944 ... 7 .......... 20901 ... 16 (Post Allardyce) 2006/7 .......... 21275 ... 10 .......... 23606 ... 7 2005/6 .......... 21015 ... 6 .......... 25455 ... 8 2004/5 .......... 22315 ... 15 ......... 26006 ... 6 2003/4 .......... 24376 ... 15 ......... 26795 ... 8 2002/3 .......... 26226 ... 6 .......... 25017 ... 17 2001/2 .......... 25976 ... 10 .......... 25097 ... 16
  10. Don't be daft. He'd be doing his best to win the thing. It's the players who wern't. If he had won the FA Cup there's a good chance he'd be sitting in an office at the Bridge now instead of living out his own personal 'Sword of Damocles' existence under that lunatic. But if him and Bowen keep banging on about trying to get away for 12 months (despite signing new deals)then I hope that they will refund BRFC for the salaries that they kept drawing under false pretences. btw I wonder why the bloke interviewing Bowen wasn't so ingratiating and ask why they had signed those new deals?
  11. Just as a matter of interest how is Shinawatra able to finance all this? Has he the necessary bunce available in liquid assets? Is it tied up in Thailand or elsewhere? Or is he simply intending to write a lot of promisory notes to various banks?
  12. I assume thats once Shinitawara has sold off the entire squad bar richards and corluka. Worst thing that can happen to Hughes is they get Ronaldinho. He had to mutter something about getting top player sin BUT it's just not his style to work for some clown who is selecting players like a kid in a sweetshop. I'll bet he wants him like he wants an absces up his arse. If Ronaldinho comes there will be an immediate challenge to hughes authority and a disruptive influence in the squad. If he proves ineffective or unfit and a bad trainer how the hells hughes gonna be able to drop him or get rid cos in doing so he'd really be proving that his new boss was wrong? And that unstable fecker is capable of anything.
  13. A very immature comment Matt.
  14. ? See 'caption this' for his mug shot.
  15. Indeed. In fact it's only a few weeks ago when I suggested that for his own careers sake he's done as much as he can here and it's time for him to be moving onward and upward. The City job might not be that though unless the guy from JJB who was nosing around our club has extracted lots of assurances from the clown at the top.
  16. From Hughes's point of view he needs to move soon. He comes across as an ambitious man and quite simply (like Allardyce with Bolton) he has taken us about as far as he can given the resources at his disposal...... and much further than many managers at bigger clubs with far more money to spend. He really needs to use Big Sam as an example though and he needs to pick the next club very carefully for his own good. Allardyce is an example of what can go wrong when the structure of the senior management is unstable. He was Shepherds man and Ashley obviously wanted all links to the previous regime severed.
  17. Got voted in just once I think. Since then Highbury set the standard and I imagine from TV that the Emirates is continuing in that vein. I must say Anfield is usually excellent too.
  18. It's a daft but brave bgugger then..... If there's a fresh dead one in the road I usually try to squish em properly!
  19. You seem to have adopted his habit of not using full stops too brian.
  20. Talking in the pub about Hughes and the Chelsea link. Obviously we (most) would want Sparky to stay, but that lead to the topic switching to the time when Spuds were sniffing around Souness after his 3rd year in charge. GS 1st 3 years in charge were very very successful and even better tha Hughes's in terms of achievement. If he had gone to Spurs then we would be clamouring for him back should Hughes leave. In the end 2 bad seasons and a contempt of the UEFA cup (which whatever he felt was at odds to long time supporters and represents our realistic ultimate prize) totally soured our attitude toward him. So who knows whats two years down the line if we manage to keep sparky?
  21. Thanks Philip. That proves that the sighting is fake then. After all a 2-3 hour flight back from some Mediterranean location is obviously not worth arranging simply in order to interview for the top job in club football is it?
  22. Friend of a friend of a friend etc reckons that both Hughes and Kenyon were spotted in manchester's Lowry hotel today.
  23. Hughes would be seen as a speculative appointment by Chelsea, and he'd be a fool not to take it if offered. But why would the richest club on the planet need to speculate?
  24. In the immortal words of Captain Mainwareing............... "Stupid boy".
  25. Good post Paul but that last sentence is bololox. Nowt but Johnny cum Latelys whose 'magnificent history' before Ferguson turned up / start of the Prem is almost exclusively rooted down to the decade or more between a plane crash in '58 and Georgie Best packing himself off to Marbella.
