[Archived] Citeh To Sack Barton?
thenodrog replied to LeChuck's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Correct Mr C. I was just thinking about scaffolders in particular when I read your response. I think DD must work in the public sector. I've no real problem except for 1. Pro footballers are looked on as role models for youngsters (except for the blind eye continually and inexplicably turned toward the swearing and dissent issues.) 2. Barton truly shocked me on TV. When interviewed he really appeared bedevilled by internal demons imo. -
[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?

Judging by current events I can only assume that the old RFW is mistaken in thinking that footballers contracts are actually allowed to run out...... unless of course the player concerned is sh1t or injured. -

All very well all this hi-tech stuff..... but what excuse do you use for going down the pub to watch footy? Just the usual 5 channels available at our house and 80% of progs on them are crap. btw do any of you lot ever get out to meet new people, make new freinds, to explore strange new places, to seek out new life and new civilizations and to boldly go where no man has gone before SkyTV .......? -
Went to Yu and You's again last night and was extremely disappointed. 4 of us, soup ordinary. crispy duck starter brilliant (but who could get that wrong?) but the 4 main courses varied between King prawn Good. Chicken with chillie tasty but greasy. Pork dish poor and bland. and the house chicken curry virtually inedible. Wine was good but at £20 a bottle for Chardonney and £24 for a South african red absolutely extortionate. Best draught beer was Warsteiner which is a sin in itself. On last nights evidence it's turning into the chinese equivalent of the Sharzan. Designed as the trendy place to be seen by the keen-to-be-seen Ribble Valley nouveau riche. Music too bloody loud too forcing raised voices instead of conversation level. They turned it down when I asked but seemed to sneak it back up again through the meal. £180 for 4 will definitely not see me hurrying back.

loadsamoney being more necssary than new money. Speaking of which I was treat to a meal at Northcote on Saturday. Lovely food and excellent service as you would expect but it must have been wildly expensive.... I discovered that the bloody water bill was 18 quid!

Trumped up charge by a honeypot golddigger if ever there was one. -

I'm of the opinion that when City were first linked with Ronaldinho and Jo that Hughes couldn't have given a flying one either way cos he'd been convinced by Kenyon that he was to be the manager of Chelsea. -
Agreed Yoda. I used to live over that side until the mid 90's and it was the best around in those days. Moved west of Blackburn so haven't been now for ages.

I thought Jo was on tick? If so he's spent nowt yet ..... but City's future well being. No doubt you could 'buy' a Ferrari waggy and whilst I dont know your financial status I'd guess that paying for it at the end of every month for the next 3 years might prove somewhat problematic. -
Been to the Whitehall Country Club in Darren tonight and I'd like to say MJ's restaurant is a nice place to eat too. Quite a nice secret find .... Off the beaten track with a nice ambience and not expensive. Def worth a try people.
-
I really don't know. Only time will give us the answer to that question Mr Creosote.
-
At last somebody else besides me and er indoors who is not keen on Shad House! Also Jim the Khyber will deliver. But do yourself a favour if you havent been on the pop and get the car out and go to Bukhara. Lamb with apricots or plums is bloody amazing . http://www.bukharasamlesbury.co.uk/ btw Feni chink'ys ok too.

Try weaker beer.

Sweaty? Yes he's still playing a starring role (..... he once brought me a small cup of tea instead of a mug so he's not perfect .) Really sound bloke for a big dingle fan. Last I knew his daughter was going out with a lad from Darren who is absolutely rovers mad .... 1st time I met said darrener was when we 'adopted' him in Stanstead on the way to Krakow.
-
Havn't tried it but I was told its about 8 or 9 quid for F&C. Restaurant priced chippies are not my cup of tea.
-
Best traditional chip shop in the county imo. Eat in cafe is always full to the gunwales too.
-
Small portions and you need a cheese butt to fill you up when you get home.
-
Good food..... been a few times and I urge you all to check your bill. 1st time we noticed that they had charged us for 7 main courses instead of 6! Twice wrong since but we were undercharged not overcharged! but.... it's a cheese butty establishment in my book.

You can if you like USAblue. It's really easy....... Just stop clicking the link.

I think it's fairly relevent Simon. Albeit Neill was a lot more considerate toward BRFC. 1. I'm sure that Neill informed Hughes and the club of his intentions and that all parties came to a gentlemans agreement to sell him in Jan. The 'fans' bless em immedietly translated it as disloyalty to Blackburn. The fact that it was by an Aussie obviously never entered their heads. 2. Suppose Ince wants Bentley to stay? Bentley, his agent and the directors will all rem the childish treatment meted out to Neill making any similar option a difficult runner. Forcing a sale in this manner will only result in the club being in a position of backs to the wall with the net result a reduced bargaining chip and a likely reduced transfer fee. And that would be plain STUPID.
-
And kept him until Christmas before selling him for £1m+ apparently. So the deep thinking intellectuals on the Blackburn End booed him along with BRFC and Mark Hughes..... by association.
-
Just thought I'd bring this to the fore again in order that we may compare any similarities over the coming weeks. 1. Lucas Neill.... Sorry Mr Williams, I've 12 months left on my contract but I'm not intending to sign a new deal for BRFC. I'm a footballing whore and I've made my mind up to leave when my contract runs out to play elsewhere and make more money. I'm at the age now where this will be my last move and I intend to maximise my income. If you want to sell me first then I am willing to discuss the situation at any time to accomodate the wishes of the manager. with David Bentley ..... I've 3 years to run on my contract but now that I am in the England set up I've decided to ignore any liability or indebtedness to BRFC. I'm a footballing whore and I simply intend to leave to go to a big club in europe for more money and recognition. I'm wanting you to tear up my contract to suit my intentions and nothing you can say or do will change my mind. btw a clue..... both of em are money orientated but one of them is a 'proper' man.
-
Which one are you talking about?
-
Future BRFC manager that fella.
