Morton may well be good when surrounded by players above the quality we have at the Rovers. But that is of no use to us, in our present situation.

We will be a stronger and more effective squad next season, with not having Morton available. -
A lot depends on which players are selected to pad out first team squads. Except for City.

In my opinion we need to be playing three midfielders in midfield. Not two and two wide players. I would play, 3 central defenders, 3 central midfielders, 2 wing-backs, two central forwards. Just my opinion. -

But the discussion was about IF we played a formation that tried Szmodics and Dack as a front partnership. What could be known as a Plan B. -
I have already got my Norwich ticket. My quandary is, do I get a Huddersfield ticket.

Because we need three in midfield. What we have tried to do is ask one of the forwards to drop back to supplement our midfield two. If as Mike E suggested we could try, Szmodic in front of Dack as the forwards, then we would need an extra central midfielder. I will say yet again, that I believe you have to win the midfield battle, to win games in the modern way of playing -

If we played Szmodic and Dack up front, then we would have to play three central midfielders. It could be worth a try. -

Not a very good advert to sell next seasons, season-tickets. -
Rovers U21s three-one up, substitute Sam Burns scores. Ten minutes of injury time.
-
Rovers U21s two-nil up at half-time, away to west ham. Gent and an OG.

If we win today, we have not lost anything on Luton, but gained 3 point on Watford. -
Looks like, a can't be arsed, Dolan. Luckily our Dolan is interested and motivated.

Mickeys lost a bit of timber.

No quandary for me. We aren't going to catch the Dingles, but there is still a chance, for us to catch Boro and Sheff U. So I hope the Dingles win both them games.
-
And yet, we have 7 points and 2 games in hand of them.
-
All we need is a Rovers win.

I understood your post. Then you came out with this statement.

Wouldn't it be illegal for Diaz to sign another contract, whilst under contract to the Rovers. Thus making the second contract null and void ? I suppose he could sign a pre-contact, but I don't know how binding a pre-contract is.

To see if we get promoted or not.

At least they could see it coming. -
You asked for reasoning behind the loan statement, I gave one. If you can't understand my explanation, so be it. At no point have I agreed or disagreed with the merits of the explanation.

I have never seen how this is a problem. -
I think what is meant is that if we turned down an offer for Brereton of £8.4m, then kept him for one season, with no transfer money at the end of that season. It is comparable to loaning a player for £8.4m for that season.

And if he does, he will leave with my thanks, and all the best for the future.
