My main reservation is, two midfielders, against three -

In my opinion you don't pick players to accommodate them . You pick your best players, in their best positions, in the best system for your squad. -

I have reservations about a 4-2-4 formation -
Whoever gets BBD, it won't be for free. It's just that the money will not be going to the Rovers.
-
Totally agree with the 3-5-2, but have we got three available center-halves ? Are we utilising any width anyway ?
-
For me we need Dack in or around their penalty box, not dropping back to help out midfield. so I would go with a midfield three of Buckley, Wharton, and Garret. Dolan and Gallagher as a front pairing with Dack playing off them two.

All three youngsters that you mention, are or have been injured, that may account for them not playing. -

I have never agreed with the short career argument. A player probably has a working life in football, of about 25% of the average persons working life. But earns probably ten times what the average worker earns. I don't see how most would end up retired and penniless. -

So a way for season ticket holders to assist in Waggot not reaching his target, is to not renew next season. -

The problem being Diaz has not been "in-form" for over a year. He just has the odd good game. -

Kaminski's distribution has become worse than when he first arrived. I never looked at Kaminski or Pears form before they came to the Rovers, so I cannot comment on whether they have improved. -

A better question would be : Has anybody heard the real reason why Markanday wasn't in yesterdays squad. -
I haven't cancelled my hotel in Wembley for the play-offs yet.

But the original question was, who could we play up front instead of Vale. The options given were an opinion about the players that are currently available. Not an attempt to apportion blame for our lack of good enough strikers. -

Personally I prefer Sam Burns over Vale. Even though Burns is small he puts himself about, without picking up many bookings. He harries and worries defenders into trying to kick him. He is not a classic forward, but is more like an irritating wasp. For some reason he has tumbled down the pecking order. -

If he shows his tricky in the wrong place, he will get arrested. -

I have seen Markanday a few times for the U21s. Believe me he is not a winger. His main asset is a good shot. More could be made of this asset playing him through the middle, rather than on the wing. As you have changed the question, JDT could try a partnership of Dack up front with Gally.
