  1. If Hirst was a free transfer, we would still be being robbed.
  2. U21s lucky to get a draw against a good West Ham side. We were poor today. We went 2-0 up against the run of play, then seemed to stop competing. Hirst was the worst of the lot, although non of the supposed first teamers showed much. Markanday was again poor but scored, he is not a winger. Mola is not a center-half. JRC and Buckley looked tired. West Hams number 4 (Ekwah) had the freedom of the pitch. Leonard put in a decent shift.
  3. Workmate, I would think ?
  4. To me, he struggled at U21s level on Wednesday, albeit against a physically strong defender. To make the first team, Markanday will have to figure out a way to beat defenders that doesn't include him trying to out-muscle the defender. He might be better playing through the middle on the shoulder of the last defender. Maybe he could form a partnership with either Diaz or Gally through the middle.
  5. Dustbins down a back alley could be quite dangerous.
  6. I wished he had scored against Wigan
  7. I would put Vale and Leonard ahead of Markanday.
  8. I must admit I don't agree with Chaddy on quite a few points. But I prefer JDT's outlook on football to Mowbrays. As much as I think both Hirst and Smodzics are not up to what should be our standard. They are as good as we are going to get.
  9. This is how I feel : I've had enough. I've had enough, I love Blackburn Rovers., But I've had enough.
  10. Half way through October and I am disappointed that we have just missed out on going level on points with the top of the league. I'll settle for that.
  11. I have tried on more than one occasion.
  12. Why don't you answer each question individually ?
  13. JDT probably want more from Markanday on the ball, never mind off the ball.
  14. I used to work on expected sex. It never worked.

  16. After Tuesday, I'm going to the U21s game tomorrow instead of Middlesboro.
  17. At least it is a reasonable price. Well done the Rovers
  18. My take on Markanday for the U21s, was that when he had to think he invariably lost the ball. When he didn't have time to think, he scored a cracking volley.
  19. I agree about A. Wharton and Brittain, but I would say Hedges is more useful than Markanday
  20. It may be harsh, but it is true. Just before he scored, it looked like Walker was coming on to replace him. Lets see if JDT takes him with the first team tomorrow.
  21. He also got dispossesed countless times, broke up our attacks by cutting inside and, when he didn't lose the ball, he more often than not passed backwards. I think he is more likely to reproduce the poor parts of his game (80%), than the good parts (20%). I am of this opinion because from what I saw the poor parts to his game, are the basics.
  22. Having been at the game I thought Markanday was poor. He scored a good goal though. Had he not just scored, I think he would have been hooked.
  23. You still wanted Diaz on the left, Hedges on the right, with Dack playing off either Gally or Hirst. That is four forwards, which in my opinion is too many.
  24. Dack was doing similar in the second half for the U21s. He went looking for the ball in defensive positions. Not what you want from an attacking play maker.
