I am admitting I was wrong. I never thought that in my lifetime, would I see Annesley playing for our first team.

If Phillips signs a contract with us, he has done the Rovers a big favour. Well done Ashley, if you sign.

My assesment of Annesley is that he is like a failed midfielder, who has thought : I know I will give it a go at center-half, how hard can it be !

It will be worse if Annesley plays there.

Because if he moves whilst contracted we will get a fee. If he isn't contracted we will get an amount settled by a tribunal, probably next to nothing.

But was it true, that is what I want to know. It is your opinion, that it may be sexist and disrespectful. I would say, that it would be sexist and disrespectful, only if it turned out not to be true.

I didn't take Riversides post as a dig, just an opinion. Anyhow, what as the final score ?

In my opinion Pratt is better than Annesley. At center-half, you don't want steady. You need someone who can head and tackle and is strong. Annesley is none of those things,

That is the point. There is no difference, they are both loans. We want one loan and one permanant signing.

It is probably a knock-on effect, from so many young players being in the first team squad. The academy teams become weaker.

Surely we wanted Van Hecke on a permanant deal, If he is only a loan, it is not what we wanted, so move on. Sepp Van Berg is our loan target. I am still of the opinion, get the targets we want, on the contracts we want.

No we wouldn't be better off playing Annesley, I doubt he will make it as a pro. Non-league is Annesleys level, for me.

If you are not going to start Phillips or Pickering, who is going to play center-half with Ayala ? It might be a better plan to play Phillips, Ayala and Pickering, at the back, in a three. Britten and Edun as wing-backs.

Do you see much of the academy players ? I can only comment on the performances that I have seen.

Burns in a high press role, other than that, no.

The Rovers are not bothered about Phillips being ready for the championship. They are just trying to get him to sign a contract, with us.

I would say that the best Center-back we have had in the last 10 years is Ayala. People judge Ayala on his injury record. But there is nothing to compare it to with Van Hecke, as he hasn't got a long enough record.
