  1. For me Pears is just right for our bench keeper. My thought would be, Pears would be on the bench all season. He comes on if required as a sub during a game. Our second choice keeper would be playing with the U23s, and gets put into the first team above Pears in case of needing a keeper to start a game.
  2. Not from what I have seen. I will stick bye my original assessment.
  3. I would say that Wharton is the best of the two. He is everywhere, if anyone marks him he really makes them work. He uses his body to shield the ball really well. He sees a pass early and plays the ball simply, but usually to our advantage. A Richie Smallwood type of player.
  4. Do we need more defenders ?
  5. Perhaps I should have worded my reply better. You can't be crap at any facete of the game.
  6. If you are going for promotion, you can't afford to be crap at any part of the game.
  7. Bournemouth at Ewood could be one hell of a game.
  8. Yes. Lets hope Zeefuik has such a good game, it makes it hard for Nyambe to walk back in.
  9. Who pays his wages The Rovers or Chile ?
  10. I am glad we didn't persue Soutter. We have enough cover at the back.
  11. Any update on the relaunch of the 92 club ?

Not yet, after a break over Christmas we're still tweaking & improving the match centre.

  12. I was even more impressed with Adam Wharton, very composed on the ball,, knew how to use his body to turn away from trouble. Simple but very effective passing. Should evevntually make the first team.
  13. You cross that bridge when/if you come to it. At the moment there are two players ahead of Batty for that first team place. I am sure he would be abe to fill in as a sub if the need ever came. I was impressed with his speed and aggression, but most of all with his final ball. He showed great vision and always seemed to play a ball where the defenders could not get to it.
  14. That railway open end was always feisty.
  15. Nyambe is fairly weak in the air, that is a major drawback for a center-half.
  16. Just back from the game, we never looked in any sort of trouble. I was very impressed with Adam Wharton and Jake Batty.
  17. I didn't realise Cirino was injured. If all the injuries did come about, I would change the system and go with a back four of, Nyambe, Ayala, Van Hecke, Wharton.
  18. It wasn't a choice, but if you follow the conversation, Cirino is the only left back/wing back, that would be available.
  19. Burns going to Scunny
  20. It was mentioned that McBride could be going to Crewe on loan.
  21. To my mind, I don't look at our past results at Cardiff. I look at it as, we are challenging for promotion, a draw away to a team struggling near the bottom of the league is not good enough. And will not keep the pressure on our challengers.
