  1. Nyambe is physically stronger and faster, which makes him harder to beat . What I have seen at Ewood and more importantly away, when we are under more pressure is less times that Nyambe has been beaten at right back than Williams
  2. A better right back than Bennett
  3. I don’t judge on stats, I judge on what I see. With this in mind I stand by opinion that Nyambe is a better right back than Bennett
  4. I will
  5. I was in the boys brigade
  6. I think this is the first loan deal where I hope there is a clause saying he can play against us.
  7. How is Davenport doing?
  8. I will tell you what is impossible to do. Be certain of an outcome before it has happened.
  9. You certainly have
  10. Would you get Pukki on a free transfer now. I'd swap £5m Gallagher for free transfer Messi, but that is unrealistic also.
  11. So yet again it is down to the way we are playing rather than his abilities. All of the Reading fans I spoke to after the game would have swapped Gallagher for any of their forwards.
  12. No the statement was that our position in the wages paid table would go up considerably with the signing of Holtby. As I do not know his wages that is why I asked if it was fact or conjecture.
  13. So Gallagher is not the problem. It’s the way we play that is the problem. But back to the original point. The reason the flick-ons are useful, despite not leading to goals, is that they make the defence have to play under more pressure.
  14. No it isn’t if you are facing your own goal when you get the ball your choices usually are pass back to the keeper or turn blind not knowing where exactly the opposition is. Both can and will lead to mistakes
  15. Winning the headers make the defenders have to turn towards their own goal, making their jobs harder
  16. Did you see his contribution yesterday ?
  17. unlike the premiership, in the championship it does not always follow that the highest wage bill, gives the highest finish.
  18. In some operation a blunt instrument is necessary
  19. Just back from Reading, in their bar after the match, all the Reading fans I spoke to, were very impressed with Sam Gallagher, as was I.
  20. I am staying at the Madjeski hotel, so I will be in their bar before the game
  21. I agreed until you mentioned Bell
  22. Which ever way you look at it, if players are played in their correct positions we now have a cracking squad.
  23. I don't agree about our away form. So far this season we have played well away from home, just not got the full return we deserve. I think we may well have deserved to take a point at Fulham or WBA, we didn't so it may look like a bad start. To be honest I would be more worried about our results and performances at home.
  24. I hope this is the attitude of the Reading players and manager
