  1. Devastated to see JDT leave despite the departure being so protracted. From the moment he got gagged from talking to the press before the QPR game, we all knew he was being elbowed out. What a thoroughly classy man. Brilliant communicator and passionate football coach. I used to look forward to JDT's pressers just to hear the way he spoke in what is, let's not forget, his 5th language. And yes he gave us all a glimpse of what Rovers could and. should become in both the league and cups. The highlight for me was the West Ham penalty shoot out- I would never in a million years believe 10 Rovers players could take 10 such brilliant penalties! He had a vision and a project cruelly destroyed by Venky's again reaping the results of their idiocy a dozen years ago and a CEO who is so far below the standards and professionalism set by JDT that he is worse than an earthworm to JDT's eagle.
  2. Oh my goodness! I had forgotten football clubs were supposed to play football.
  3. Everything and any possible permutation of personnel at the top is possible right now. Headless chickens in the chicken coop is my best guess.
  4. Nope, their record of charitable giving and evidence of wealth plus testimonials including banking referenced, police records and other things were and are part of the test.
  5. According to Scudamore, the then CEO of the PL, the Raos passed fit and proper better than any other new owner. Given fit and proper did not include questions such as 1) what do you know about football? 2) who is advising you? 3) is there a wannabe playboy in the family who wants a new toy? I can say with extensive corroboraion of Richard Scudamore's comment that Raos did indeed shine in the fit and proper examination. I come back to the following fundamentals - the Raos are in the small multi billionaire class so what possessed them to apparently fraudulently mis classify a property and a birthday party in their filings in India back in 2011? - the entire shit show that is Rovers 2023/24 stems from what the Raos apparently signed off in 2011. This mess is as personal to them as the decision to rely on Jerome Anderson and the total destruction of the club as a Premier League operation as a consequence.
  6. I fully expected JDT to be gone today and as I go off to bed it hasn't happened. Now anything could happen. We know Waggott wants JDT gone. Suhail apparently has a hand in this. Nobody knows if Mr and Mrs Desai and the two Rao brothers want JDT to leave.
  7. I have been CEO of a 250 person outfit and had mission critical documentation or deliveries to hit deadlines. In each case I was physically with the team to be there a) as recognition for a job well done b) to be immediately on hand if we hit a problem c) to see the item out of the building to my satisfaction and get the read receipt or courrier acceptance pass through my hand before it duly went into the correct files. Waggott has personally failed and should be fired. He is the CEO. The CEO is ultimately personally responsible for everything in his watch which is why he gets the salary he does. He should have personally made sure Silvester/Broughton/ the office cat could not possibly fail. I have just been told in the pub here in Malta- "Blackburn - what a bunch of wankers". That is Rovers reputation 2,000 miles away.
  8. So the administration screws up a transfer AGAIN. The logical thing happens and we sack the first. team coach...🙃
  9. Too simple. Don't underestimate the ability of snakes to take advantage of chaos caused by the ownership. There were multiple villains back in 2010-2012. It is naive to assume there aren't more than one villain pursuing their own separate agendas now.
  10. The reason I think you are wrong with regards to Swag as the Venky's puppet in all this is the bizarre circumstances last weekend. If you stop the Manager talking it is because you have sacked him. Then JDT took charge of the QPR game. Why? That smacks of Swag being stopped from sacking JDT and that order to stop it can only have come from Pune overriding SWAG.
  11. On the transfer thread Waggot slowing the deal down wouldn't surprise me. I believe he was responsible for our drop in form last season, being as leaky as an old fat man with incontinence, when he should have been shielding the squad when we had a chance of the play offs. And of course the buck stops with him over O'Brien which would have certainly got us at least an extra point. A complete and utter bastard.
  12. Thanks Glen. Yes I wasn't targeted but sadly you weren't the only one to be subject to really nasty stuff back then. Thank God your health is holding up. The Mowbray compared with JDT posts are just willy waving in the big picture of things. On the other threads, I have posted why my reading is this is a palace coup by Waggott against JDT forcing him out against Venkys wishes.
  13. Just seen that Waggott is reliably reported to have delayed the Adam Wharton paperwork to beyond the deadline leading to Palace being horrified by our unprofessionalism. Doesn't exempt Venkys from criticism but Swag has exploited their hands off style to his advantage. The Wharton paperwork story points to Waggott being the villain in screwing up McGuire and probably the two failed transfers last January in a failed attempt to get Broughton out and giving Waggott sole control over everything. If the Wharton deal failed, fans are delighted to have Adam back, Venkys still pump the cash in in March. Fan protests would be muted, Broughton certainly goes as the fall guy and Swag rules.
  14. I have posted my reading of what happened/ is happening in the Waggott thread. This is a palace coup engineered by Swag for Swag own advantage and the McGuire cockup a deliberate move in the game in my opinion. I wouldn't rule out last year's O'Brien and Brierly mess as a failed attempt by Swag at setting up Broughton so Swag regained control over the football side.
  15. It is all pretty damned obvious. JDT and Swag relationship broke down. Became a he goes or I go stand off. Swag blocks JDT speaking out. McGuire got blocked in Venkys compound because there is no certainty the Judge will ok the next cash transfer following the Wharton sale. Ennis sale unblocked McGuire deal so JDT prevailed So Swag saved rather than sent the registration to screw it up. After last January's cock up, the CEO had to have his finger on a deal as big as this. JDT predictably melts down Swag "accepts" resignation saving compensation Swag tries to get players and fans on board criticising Ennis sale Swag accepts retirements of Cheston and Silvester Swag has Suhail on board and Venkys face a fait accompli of Swag last man standing Greg Broughton isolated and will probably be forced out on pretext of fall guy for McGuire Swag gets control over the football side again which is what he has run his mouth about previously. I have no inside This is speculation But I can read folk playing politics and setting up a palace coup.
  16. The stunt- and that is what it was - with SW, senior players and fans is an absolute disgrace.
  17. No way do you have a meeting with CEO and senior players without the Manager and the Manager not be leaving. Absolutely no way to run a football club. In that CCTV footage, the players looked like they were hostages. My opinion of Steve Waggott is unprintable.
  18. I have read through the last dozen or so pages and am as confused as I expected to be.. My recollection is that there are rules about who can process the transfer filings to the EFL- either the company secretary or the CEO/Chairman. So Rovers' save/send story fingers either Silvester or Waggott as the ham fisted typist. Silvester has been a football company secretary since at least his appointment at Liverpool in 2005 so he is hardly unexperienced in these matters. I will repeat that Waggott as CEO carries ultimate operational responsibility and must go.
  19. This is on Waggott. He should have gone over the double screw up last January for being in Birmingham. He definitely has to go now. The buck stops with the CEO whose job it is to make sure the systems work.
  20. Well done to the u-21s but they progress on a freak result at West Bromwich. They are also back within striking distance of 16th in the league table also which brings qualifications for Cup competitions next season.
  21. No matter what the cock up was, SWAG position is untenable. As CEO with O'Brien on his track record, he should personally have been physically present when the paperwork was being checked collated SCANNED and sent. I did that with mission critical paperwork in a business of similar size to Rovers and know of no similar CEO who wouldn't have done the same. This is 100% his personal responsibility.
