  1. Plymouth was another. If Hedges puts away that gilt edged chance I'm convinced we would have won.
  2. I walked back to White City after the match and chatted to two QPR fans who have resigned themselves to relegation but interestingly didn't blame Gareth Ainsworth. They said the turmoil off the field over a period of time has culminated in their current position. They did say though that they thought he would be sacked but his only saving grace could be they can't afford to pay him off.
  3. Four has been a common theme this weekend as we scored four and the Dingles and Nobbers conceded four. Unfortunately Rovers Women conceded four in a fully deserved defeat to Palace. After seeing them for the first time a few weeks ago I was looking for a performance similar to that game but in truth we were poor. There was no fluency or pace in our game and the disappointed body language towards the end was telling. There is another home game next Sunday against Charlton and a chance to put this behind them.
  4. Heaven help us. He has started his nonsense early hasn't he. I can't believe that people pay to read his guesswork.
  5. Tronstad in my view did exactly what Tomasson brought him here to do namely keep the ball moving and recycle it. He was good in the tackle and creative when the opportunity arose. His fitness isn't quite there yet but I see enough to appreciate why we brought him in.
  6. I rarely get carried away with wins or defeats and really believe in the 'one game at a time' mantra but nothing beats that winning feeling irrespective of who we beat. The journey home after any away win is always much more pleasurable 😁.
  7. We have seen 60 goals in our 11 league and 3 cup games so far this season. We can't complain about the entertainment value.
  8. I have seen quite a few 'only QPR' comments which are to undermine our win.
  9. Just catching up with some posts it seems that some are unhappy we have played well, scored four and kept a clean sheet. I find that so strange.
  10. Great to get that winning feeling again as it seems a while since I had it. Today there were many positives but high on that list for me was the clean sheet and how we look better with effectively three centre halves in the back four. Tronstadt gave them the screen they needed and JRC was so industrious he offered help when it was needed. Our dominance was almost total and scoring seven wouldn't have flattered us. Some of the football was so pleasing on the eye and scoring four was a reward for the players and their hard work. In several other games this season we could have scored a similar amount but a combination of poor luck and finishing out paid to that. Today it came together. I know some will say "it's only QPR" but I honestly don't care who it was. Well done Rovers.
  11. On a really tight pitch it will be easier to be compact and narrow which is just what we need. It's simple for me. Keep a clean sheet and I believe we will win. Last season our win there was a bit of a turning point as we grew in confidence and although the results didn't really reflect it we started playing really well. I'm confident that we'll get a win tomorrow.
  12. I am really surprised to read we have sold out for this match. Once again well done to the travelling supporters.
  13. This gobshite was part of another shameful period we suffered under these wretched owners. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-celtic-anthony-stokes-police-31115148
  14. So sorry to hear that my friend. You be strong for her.
  15. And would Chansiri appoint him in some act of revenge on the fans who had the temerity to criticise him. It's ironic really that he wouldn't give Darren Moore a decent pay rise and is now paying up Munoz and his staff.
  16. Or the one he has just sacked doesn't get his contract paid up?
  17. We deserved far more than we got tonight and the performance was really good as we moved the ball about with a good tempo. I can't get as maudlin as some though because I believe that Tomasson will come good with these players. We were solid in midfield and defence tonight which has been a bit of an Achilles Heel for us recently and the pace of Dolan, Markanday and Szmodics really worried Coventry. Of course there are things to be critical of but for me the green shoots are growing and will flourish again soon. I am enjoying the football we are playing. I know it's about results and I would trade the two in a heartbeat but we are a work in progress and I think we have to be patient however frustrating it gets.
  18. Rovers went through on penalties after what was a pretty turgid 90 minutes from both teams but I felt that Blackpool were marginally the better of the two. Rovers continually gave the ball away or were caught in possession although in fairness we had at least six under 18's. Winning was the important thing though and as such progressing into the next round was the priority.
  19. The decision to close the Blackburn End was taken before a ticket was even sold so how could a potential gate be gauged. Swag will be in denial of the potential numbers simply to justify his decision. He is a faceless coward too. How many CEO's would have their PA's replying to customers over such an emotive subject. FOW.
  20. But he stayed around for five years. He was happy to trundle along in such a safe job under no pressure. In League One he had the biggest budget by far and was given millions to spend. In some ways I don't blame him as he was almost guaranteed five years on good money to tread water and he went along with it. And on several occasions he publicly tried to dumb down our expectations. And the story is that on two successive January windows he had money left from his transfer budget.
  21. I'm pretty sure it was Paul Hunt who told the owners in a letter to sack Kean but alas he was bombed out for saying this. It was in the same letter he asked to be made CEO as he was Deputy CEO but effectively running the place. The real irony was that he was Deputy CEO to nobody, we didn't have one. It kind of sums up their tenure.
  22. For sure he is a symptom of the Venky disease and his lack of scruples is there for all to see. His role in the taking of Andy Cole's signing on fee, his role in the demise of Coventry and the documented untruths we are aware of at Rovers (I'm sure there are more that haven't surfaced yet). With interest I read a post on here the other day with the reign of the Indians documented chronologically. The executives who haven't been subservient to them have been summarily dismissed for having the temerity to try and advise them to do the right things. Swag is a puppet and his huge salary is akin to blood money in my view as he is prepared to take a bullet for them. He is the CEO in name only - he contributes nothing of any value to this club as his boss is the man who has taken a Trappist Monk type vow of silence. Waggot is the monkey to this particular organ grinder.
  23. I saw us beat Sheffield United recently and we enjoyed it that much we are going to the games against Palace and Charlton. There is a two for one offer on these games and I would recommend anybody to give it a try. And by the way this is from someone who has derided the standard of women's football previously.
  24. We shouldn't be picking a midfield to cover his infallibility though. If Hyam is slow replace him with a player who is quicker is the solution. Personally I think one of his main weaknesses this season has been his poor reading of the game and positional play (perhaps the two are interlinked).
  25. You really have to feel for these Plymouth supporters. https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/football/long-road-hull-plymouth-argyle-8796079
