  1. I agree and having just read the full transcript of his interview I have a degree of sympathy with him. Perhaps he will realise over the next few weeks that perhaps the owners are actually disingenuous and not all he thought they were. He did still Mark get a few 'good human beings' in though.
  2. He should have Tom! The referee didn't handle that particular situation too well. It appeared to me that VH was going to get a last warning message when a Bournemouth player ran in waving an imaginary card. The referee booked him but didn't isolate him to do so - he just waved it in the general direction where a few players were. In the confusion I'm not sure if VH actually got his warning.
  3. It was good to hear boos when Waggott stepped into the pitch yesterday to present some award. Hopefully he is hanging his head in shame today after the way his bosses have behaved with Mowbray. And then he leaves too.
  4. In truth Simon Jordan has very little credibility when it comes to running football clubs. Venkys have handled this particular situation awfully, pretty much in keeping with the last twelve years. The elephant is still in the room.
  5. Bournemouth were streets ahead of us today as not one Rovers player win his own individual battle. I'm actually baffled as to how we can play with real intensity and pace a few days ago and then put in such a flat, listless performance today. The passing was generally woeful today save for a couple of balls in the first half. We were back to the square passes along the back line for which Bournemouth just stood off and let us do it. In true Mowbray fashion though he dumbfounded everyone with his substitutions which made us look like a pub team as players shifted around the pitch looking confused. Although the season isn't get over I will certainly look back on this as a season of missed opportunity given our position in February. Lots of reasons for this but the main one was the lack of quality coming in in January. Many derided Bournemouth for their signings but they have got them promoted. Every Bournemouth substitute today would be a regular in our team.
  6. And between them they have hundreds of league appearances. The young team thing is a myth perpetuated by Mowbray to cover most of his own inadequacies. And people fall for it.
  7. Being entitled is a real slur. I object to that term being used to describe any of us who simply wants the best for us. I don't expect success but I want it. There is a marked difference between the two and the poster is insulting us by his insinuation.
  8. He is a Select Group One referee and they predominantly operate on the PL. Similarly Select Group Two are Championship referees although both groups are contracted to work on Leagues One and Two when required.
  9. Keith Stroud has been replaced by Robert Jones as todays referee.
  10. Being ambitious and wanting the absolute best for something that is hugely important to most of us is being entitled now. And that is from one of our own supporters. Some will shrug their shoulders and accept anything without dissent. They must be the 'real fans' I hear about.
  11. Metropolitan Police have issued an appeal for ten men who went missing for 45 minutes this evening. The men, all dressed in blue and white shirts later mysteriously reappeared and seemed unharmed. A spokesman said "It was almost like they had been abducted by aliens as they disappeared without trace".
  12. That is bang on. Mistakes are made and supporters latch onto this and convince themselves the referee is cheating. There are lots of reasons for mistakes and one of them is that some referees just are good enough for the standard of football they officiate in. If I had a fiver for every time I have been called a cheat I would be voting Tory 😂😂😂😂
  13. You have clearly made your mind up that some English referees have been bribed (and biased) so it's pointless trying to convince you otherwise.
  14. I can tell you with certainty that in 15 years as a Football League, Premier League and International official I was never approached to favour a certain team. That includes playoff matches worth a lot of money to the winning clubs. And I was never remotely aware that any of my close colleagues or even other referees had been approached. I had complete trust in them and if there had been anything underhanded it would have been reported. I can only speak for English referees.
  15. Hypothetically (with a capital H) if the owners are ahead of the curve there should be a new manager in situ to start work immediately after the Birmingham game. We are entering a crucial time when plans ought to be in place for pre season training, signing new players, selling players and a host of other things which usually go on in the background but need to be planned well ahead. Personally I have no faith in these people to do the right thing for Rovers and I envisage turmoil once again.
  16. Whilst I want Mowbray gone I can't help but feel more anger and disdain for these wretched owners for the way he has been treated. I think he has seen the writing on the wall and done this interview to at least go with some dignity and not give them the satisfaction of just letting his deal run down with no idea of what was happening. For it to be a few months before his contract ends and no indication of what is happening is another damning indictment on the people we have running our club. Heaven help his successor. FOV.
  17. Are you saying he has cheated to assist Bournemouth wins? Fulham have a 0% win rate with Stroud this season - should Fulham complain about that?
  18. It's absolute nonsense and insulting to suggest that Keith Stroud will favour Bournemouth in any way, shape or form. He might not be the best in somebody's view, get things wrong but questioning his integrity is simply wrong.
  19. Look just above the Rovers players huddle for a cheeky 'v' sign to the Nobbers fans from one of our players.
  20. For anybody in need of a football fix on Bank Holiday Monday Darwen are playing the Isle of Man in the First Division Cup quarter final. The game is at the Anchor with a 13.45 kick off.
  21. Did anybody else notice the signal from one of our players to the Nobbers fans? It's funny because I thought it was the first not second goal.
  22. Wilder got huge praise for the inventive way he played at Sheffield United but ultimately left the job. It's the nature of the business and anybody accepting a managers role knows this. And besides the are extremely well renumerated.
