  1. On Gillette Soccer Special they weren't sure if he was there. Part of the WATR statement was read out too which I think raised a few eyebrows on the panel.
  2. In a really strange and perverse way I am looking forward to this game when my head is telling me I should be dreading it. I'm curious to see who is in charge, the team they choose and how we set up tactically. But probably the thing that intrigues me most is how the players react given that the vast majority of them seemed to be behind Eustace. My gut tells me that they will be professional and put in a real shift but a nagging doubt is that some might use the last couple of days as an excuse. As ever in an away game I'll take a draw but whatever comes it will be good to watch Rovers playing and, for a short time on allt the other nonsense to the back of my mind.
  3. But hugely satisfying 😂
  4. I didn't know until Saturday. Your second sentence is quite damming for somebody who wouldn't have a word said against Eustace until yesterday.
  5. I haven't seen Eustace quoted anywhere as saying him living in the Midlands was a problem, in fact up until the weekend I didn't know any Rovers fan who was aware of this. I think this has been perpetuated as a myth to justify the likes of Jordan who likes to be a contrarian. And this has been seized upon by some Rovers fans As a stick to beat him with.
  6. I didn't see any of the warm ups in those games. He told me himself he was scouting future opponents. We played an under 21 match at Ewood the night before Plymouth away and I walked out with him. I asked him why he wasn't in Plymouth and he told me he was going to watch Swansea the day after. Other people have confirmed too that he was given this new role by Eustace.
  7. Well done to the authors of that statement. It certainly speaks for me and how I feel. Has it been sent to any media outlets?
  8. He hasn't been involved on match days for some time now. He has been scouting future opponents.
  9. What an excellent diversion from Fred Karno's circus last night. We saw a wholly committed performance from our youngsters who gave their all. The first half didn't really get going but in the second half Rovers drove forward almost constantly and some of the football was first class. In truth the game should have been out to bed much earlier but to their credit they kept going, kept creating chances and finally got an 89th minute winner which they absolutely deserved. Once again Matty Litherland was outstanding. His forays with the ball into the oppositions final third are something you rarely see in the modern game. I truly believe he is first team material right now. I liked the look of Patrik Farkas too. Some of his set play deliveries were too notch. It was really pleasing in so many respects but what pleased me most was that they never gave up, never stopped believing and each and everyone of them deserved the applause at the final whistle. And then my mind returned to the laughing stock we have become...........
  10. Waggott crawling back under his stone. He is a coward of the highest order.
  11. Trying to look on the bright side we should at least be able to pay our bills for the next month or so. Sold down the river for the umpteenth time.
  12. FAB = Fat Arrogant Bastard. 😂😂
  13. Clearly he has no understanding of our situation and the circumstances right now and also with Tomasson. He even said something like 'it's still Venky's isn't it' when gobbing off. He had done no research but played on his 'I owned a club' rhetoric. How did that ownership go again?
  14. Jordan's whole argument was based on a rumour, speculation that Eustace would go because Derby is nearer to where he currently lives. I haven't seen any quote from Eustace mentioning or moaning about the commute to Blackburn. It's just a lazy assumption made to justify his arrogance.
  15. My understanding is that everything has to be signed off in India since the court case. Eustace was promised money in the summer and the owners renaged on this promise because of the financial uncertainty. Incoming transfer monies have been used elsewhere rather than what it was earmarked for. That was the first nail in the coffin.
  16. Similar. The matches are our real sanctuary from the plethora of other issues going on. It might go quiet for a while but as sure as eggs are eggs another stumbling block is never far away. And as long as these people are around nothing will change.
  17. He isn't the decision maker. He is the conduit for the Punekars and right now the only one with a direct line to India. They ultimately make the decisions based on what he tells them.
  18. I wonder if that was the reason for the sudden departure of Stuart Jones?
  19. When the Portsmouth match was in doubt and an early inspection planned he was at home in Brighton leaving the arrangements to the locally based staff who were at Ewood. In all my dealings with professional football clubs I've never known a secretary not be there on match days. The malaise at Rovers runs deep.
  20. Hardly any of them have met him because he is rarely (if ever) in Blackburn.
  21. The recently appointed club secretary (or Head of Football Administration), Brett Baker lives in Brighton and actually works from home I'm told. Very few of the Ewood based staff who he manages haven't actually seen him let alone met him.
  22. I think he is being, as he always has professional. And his professionalism and the clubs lack of is one of the main reasons he wants to leave.
  23. I was told that he is the confidante of Pasta and they both were of the opinion that we didn't need to spend any money in January and relayed this to the Punekars. Although he has only been here a short while I believe he is complicit in this latest chapter in our demise.
  24. It really was a joke but also a veiled criticism of anybody who believes that Eustace will leave to be closer to his family.
  25. Yeah but Leicester is closer to his home in Bournemouth 😂😉
