  1. More of a Gene Wilder. ??
  2. But didn't he (along with Finn and Goodman) write to the Raos advising them that Anderson's involvement in transfers was a huge transgression. If that had prompted an investigation into Andersons conduct surely he would have been complicit. Either way John there are more questions than answers and my hope is that somebody like Williams or Finn will someday search their conscience and spills the beans on the whole sordid affair.
  3. Thanks - I thought I had seen something. It's galling to think that the authorities had evidence handed to them on a plate and still chose not to pursue what seemed to be an open and closed case. I'm sure I read that the NDC's and sweeteners last ten years. If true I hope some of the people who signed them to public and embarrass the shysters involved.
  4. I read the article below and one paragraph jumped out at me. It is understood that allegations have been made that Farnell has conflict of interest by acting on behalf of both parties in the potential sale of the club. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53698266 I have a recollection that there was some documentation that Anderson was entrusted by the Walker Trust to find a buyer. He found the Raos and therefore created a conflict of interest. It still rankles with me how we were treated with utter disdain by the authorities and how they allowed the wanton destruction of one of their clubs. Can anybody confirm if Anderson did work for both parties?
  5. It seems like the PFA agree with you Ian. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53696424
  6. Bloody hell mate, you're like a dog with a bone ?? ??
  7. I haven't mentioned Armstrong.
  8. Transfer fees seem to be so arbitrary to me but I would personally sell.
  9. That I don't know. I was told a bid from a PL club is on the table.
  10. I don't want to yet but if it doesn't happen I will name him and admit the information was wrong.
  11. I posted that a couple of weeks ago but didn't name the player.
  12. Thanks. You seem to know your stuff but from my fiscal idiots point of view are you saying if we went into administration the banks could take the land in India to wipe out the debt?
  13. It's the mercenary type of player that I despise and we've had plenty of them, particularly in the last decade as Rovers have been taken for a ride but the jewel in that particular crown is Murphy. When he is on tv I switch over. He strikes me as a selfish, conceited little shit. A lot of names on here are of players that were awful but the majority at least tried.
  14. Sad, sad news. He really was one of our is own and if kissing the badge was in vogue in Mecky's days he could have done it with sincerity. I remember carrying him off the pitch at Port Vale in 1975 as we had just clinched promotion. We were one big, happy family and he was integral to that. He was a great player for us with skill and real aggression and formed a great combination with Tony Parkes. The accolades are a fitting tribute to a Blackburner to his core. RIP Stuart.
  15. Not Blackburn but I think this might evoke a few memories for some of the 'owder posters. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/18630781.cranberry-fair-nightspot-dancers-frolicked-pool/
  16. So we are pretty much in the same position as we were last summer needing players for the same areas we were short in then. That's some slow build.
  17. He seems to epitomise the old saying 'bullshit baffles brains'.
  18. Yes, a young coach in his first job. Who would've thought it.
  19. Good strike from Bryan but no keeper at this level should be beaten like that. He does though, as we have seen many times have something like that in his locker.
  20. I heard the commentators saying Mitrovic was warming up by himself pre match which indicates we'll only see him if absolutely necessary. I think with his movement inside the penalty area Fulham would have been ahead.
  21. I just be watching a different game. Reed and Cairney have dominated the midfield and kept Fulham going forward at every possible opportunity.
  22. You could be right but knowing the club are in dire straits (according to club communications) somebody should have had the gumption to stop the chartered flight and use a couple of coaches. That would have represented a £20k saving which could have been used on plenty of other more pressing things. Ultimately all spend goes on the bottom line.
  23. I heard their chicken is tasteless too. ??
  24. I was chasing up the recompense situation. Originally they said nothing would happen until after the season had ended because it was a skeleton staff all dealing with iFollow.
