  1. Are you really comparing Coyle and Lambert as managers? Or are you forgetting who brought Irvine and Kelly in? Pretty sure they must have held Lambert in high regard to come here in the first place. I think you are making a mistake if you are being taken in by Coyles 'positivity'.
  2. Ah but I can hear the people who want to give him a chance saying 'what do the Americans know about football'? Didn't the Bolton fans nickname him clueless and the comments from Dave Whelan are similar to the Houston supporters comments. The man is a bullshitter and has blagged his way into jobs and (with one exception) crashed and burned. His interviews are full of superlatives (he likes the word magnificent), something that makes me wary straight away.
  3. Chris Neville was there under Bowyer when we had probably the most unfit side in years. If the manager takes a hard line regime players will follow. If Coyle wants to be one of the boys like Bowyer ill discipline will follow.
  4. I certainly won't be giving him any stick because I won't be anywhere near Ewood on match days to do this. I implore all like minded Rovers fans to do the same and simply not renew their season tickets.
  5. Reports of six Rangers players and staff having received medical attention after being assaulted by Hibs fans on the pitch. Absolutely shocking scenes and no deserved lap of honour for Hibs.
  6. A ridiculous piece of fixture planning once again. London to Accrington on Good Friday and similarly Southend were at Rochdale, Wigan at Swindon, Wimbledon at Hartlepool, Carlisle at Yeovil and Crawley at York. My sympathy however goes to Plymouth and their fans who didn't make it to Morecambe. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-35903342 The Football League should be brought to book by their member clubs for their complete disregard for supporters.
  7. Hypothetically how many of the 1-0 defeats we have had under Lambert do you think would happen if we had to play them with our current team? I think we would have got nine points from the Bolton, Reading, Cardiff and Brighton games.
  8. I often hear football fans say 'it's the worst decision I have ever seen' but for me this definitely is. I have been involved on football a long time and try to be pragmatic and see things from both sides but there is absolutely no defence for this. And the referee cannot be punished from the match assessor because in Law he was correct. I really hope it doesn't come back to bite Accrington in the promotion campaign.
  9. I think JAL thought you were referring to a player called Moon. I thought our two centre backs were impressive and may follow in the footsteps of Hanley, Jones and O'Connell in having decent careers. There was a good pace and intensity to the game and Luton played their part.
  10. You have to be nearer to the goal line than the ball to be offside. The number of opponents and where they are is immaterial. That is why you can't be offside from a corner because the ball cannot go forward. The vast majority of penalties have, one way or another players who don't respect being the required distance away from the ball. When was the last time you saw a retake for this?
  11. Suarez could only be offside if he was closer to the goal line than the ball i.e. ahead of the ball. He has to be behind the ball at the taking of a penalty and 9.15 metres away (as have all the players). This makes it impossible to be offside.
  12. I saw Sterling play tonight and think how much money he went for and he is not fit to lace Duffs boots. One of only a few who generated genuine excitement when he got the ball.
  13. The word is they took no prisoners. The word is they took no prisoners.
  14. I am surprised Rovers allowed him to become cup tied or is it a season long loan?
  15. It's just bone idle, lazy journalism. These myths were perpetuated by his spin machine and idle journalists just believe it. I would love for some English club to take a punt on the c*** and watch him gloriously fail.
  16. Bowyer answered your question only recently. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/13900054.Gary_Bowyer_not_prepared_to_rush_Blackburn_Rovers_youngsters_into_first_team_squad/
  17. I might be wrong but I seem to recall a debate I had with you where you said you wouldn't have any of the younger players in the first team squad. I think Nyambe was at the heart of the discussion. What has changed your mind? Apologies if it wasn't you as my memory isn't what it used to be.

    Howard Kendall

He was perfect for us at the time and allowed us to be proud of our club again with his achievements. Hopefully he has already met up with his great friend Mick Heaton and they are sharing great memories.
  19. I agree and not having a clue what is going to happen and feeling helpless is the real worry and source of frustration. I think that the longer they take this stance and keep the current incumbents at Ewood the fall will be much harder.
  20. And with a shrug of the shoulders we accept this? I could agree with you if it hadn't been for wholly avoidable situation we find ourselves in through gross mismanagement. And I have watched the club at the bottom of the old Division Three and I certainly don't want to go back there.
  21. I don't agree with the without Bowyer we would be in League One bit. That spell he had turned on a penalty we were awarded at Millwall which, frankly was never a penalty. He is quite often painted as some kind of magician for saving us. Well I was at the Watford game immediately before the Millwall win and that was probably the worst performance from a Rovers team that I can remember. He bemoans our luck now but he certainly got lucky at Millwall.
  22. Surely we have to deal with the immediate problem which is the position we are in. This is what needs fixing in the short term and this can only come about with a change of manager. I firmly believe a new manager could massively improve the squad simply by organising us, setting us up correctly for each game and picking the best team. I wholeheartedly agree we need other massive off the field changes but that will take a lot longer. Blackburn Rovers in League One would be disastrous.
  23. Pre season I thought we would be bottom six with real uncertainty until the last few games. Six games in and I really feel we will be relegated with this happening well before the end of the season. Quite simply for me Bowyer has to be relieved of his duties to give us any chance.
  24. Ifs, buts and maybes. There is no column on the table for being unlucky. The most important column tells me we have three points from a possible fifteen. I wonder what excuse they will come out with at the end of October when we are cut adrift.
  25. And if it got down to a real scrap who would you want as your manager? The likes of Lennon and Evans or Boreyer?
