  1. This is funny. Ellen Droad indeed 😂😂
  2. On the bright side it's a few less miles on the car next season 😁. The next few weeks will be interesting for Leeds. They have some big earners and I'd read they were banking on promotion to ease their financial worries. I wonder if their Chief Exec still holds these views. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59481154
  3. Once again when they are really needed the likes of Gnonto, Summerville, Piroe and Rutter go missing. It's a huge second half for Leeds but judging from the first half they need to hugely improve.
  4. Apparently Man City have a new song. It's called We're Forever Blowing Doubles.
  5. Every new signing is a gamble but give me a player who has come up the hard way anytime. They are usually hungry and that goes a long way in my opinion. Some of the Academy graduates are entitled and appear to think the game owes them a living.
  6. It isn't just about replacing the goals from Szmodics although they are mightily important. His prodigious work rate and desire will take some replacing and I certainly don't see any current player getting anywhere near this. He inspires other players with his attributes and as many have said should have been our captain.
  7. I saw your game against Radcliffe so probably not Bamber Bridge at their best. I usually find a game to go to in the international breaks but as you rightly say next season will offer up lots of opportunities to visit different grounds with the new Sky deal. It makes a change for me to watch a game in close proximity to the pitch as you can do at most non league grounds. And I have to say that the catering at these grounds puts many professional clubs to shame.
  8. Bellamy falling out with someone - surely not. 😉
  9. Last season I went to Atherton Colls, Atherton LR (twice), Darwen, Euxton Villa, Wythenshawe Town (for a NWCL final), Chorley and Bamber Bridge. One thing that non league games invariably give is value for money and two committed teams. At both Atherton LR games it was free admission of you had a season ticket for a PL or EFL club. And one thing every non league club does is make you feel welcome. Hopefully there will be opportunities next season to visit a few more grounds.
  10. Sky are reporting a £10m agreement between that lot and Bayern for Kompany to go. Funnily enough it didn't say who was paying who. 😃😃
  11. Sorry to hear about the passing of your mum Tyrone. Please accept my condolences.
  12. They did Gav but it was on the back of finishing seventh and two successful cup runs. There was a good feeling about the place and if the coming seasons deal was on the table then I believe we would have shifted a lot more. any marketeer would say strike whilst the iron is hot. I think this new offer will appeal to the majority of existing season ticket holders and It will induce quite a few new ones particularly with the under 12 price at £23. A close friend rang me yesterday asking about prices. He took his grandson to four or five games last season and when I told him how much it would be for the two of them he expressed a strong interest. As many have said on here they have to be priced right and this offer is a step in the right direction.
  13. Hopefully your dad is at peace now. Sorry for your loss.
  14. On the upside at least he saved himself £10 😉😁
  15. Without a doubt and sums Waggott up to a tee.
  16. All but two of these goals were pre Venkys. That says so much about the last fourteen years.
  17. I'm pleased to hear that. These clandestine meetings are often counter productive and invariably have a hidden agenda.
  18. That's a bit unfair. Weren't you at the meeting with the senior players and Waggott when things were said that couldn't be made public?
  19. The information I was given was that we accepted the first offer which came on the day of the Wrexham game and the deal actually stalled on the Wednesday with Palace threatening to pull out.
  20. And for all these extra coaching staff, sports scientists, analysis and data is it a better product? I personally don't think so.
  21. I was told it was their first bid and came in on the Monday of the Wrexham game. Adam and his representatives were told that the bid had been accepted and he was immediately pulled from the team to play against Wrexham although it was later agreed he could be on the bench but wouldn't be coming on. The day after he was on an early train to London.
  22. The fact he has now tripled his value is down to playing 16 games for Palace? He is playing with and against better players I'll give you that but Palace took advantage of our perilous financial situation and knew we needed money. It was the first offer they made and Rovers snapped their hands off. Parrish played a blinder and knew the cards were stacked in his favour. The bid was timed to perfection as He had done his homework and knew that an Indian court had adjourned the case resulting in no money coming over. They knew what they were getting and exploited our financial situation.
  23. It really is incredible to me that after the Digital Day fiasco Rovers are still doing what appears to be their utmost to annoy people. I'm no expert but if I was in charge on merchandising I would want as much footfall in the shop/ticket office as possible. I often go in person to buy tickets for away games and quite often have come away with something I didn't intend going in for, an impulse buy. The £10 charge for renewing in person is immoral in my view and will only achieve further angst amongst supporters who want to do it this way. The Harrogate game was an example of this when tickets could only be bought online providing a couple of criteria were met. I really tried to comply but the website wouldn't allow me to link mine and my granddaughters accounts to buy them both. I couldn't but hers separately because of her age. After a frustrating time trying to do it I was really on the verge of saying f*** it and just not going. I eventually rang the ticket office and they got one of their staff to arrange it. Rovers simply have to understand that some fans haven't got the wherewithal or equipment to buy the digitally. It's a really simple solution and one that has worked for many, many years. Give people a choice without fleecing them instead of discriminating against them.
  24. And yet the club he left owns have had around eight managers since 2015. Neville is a walking hypocrisy.
