That *was* the January Window
arbitro replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The fact Jackson is claiming there are two separate issues from last year to this is even worse for me. It displays inherent weaknesses in another aspect of transfers, something Broughton was at pains to stress would be reviewed and corrected. -
Thanks Andy. I should have been clearer, I meant audio not written.

Cheers Andy. Will any meetings be recorded? I ask because I know somebody who had a meeting with Waggott recently and he was told it couldn't be recorded. That indicates to me that in case he accidentally said something incriminating he could deny it later.

I also think Brierley was the collateral damage to try and sell the O'Brien 'error' to us. That's three careers they have interfered with now without hardly and contrition for the players or their mental health. Surely the PFA should be looking at this too. -

Sorry this is plagiarised from something I saw earlier but in the dark footballing days we are enduring it made me smile. Why don't all Rovers and Burnley fans swap season tickets from now until the end of the season. Then at least we'll all get to see a team we detest getting beat every week. 😂😂 -

Reading some posts about who can approve things it's almost like we are a normal club. Well we aren't. A financial commitment of the McGuire kind would have to have Indian approval and history tells us that they simply drag their heels and like to make people wait. If the McGuire deal has stalled then that's three that have gone the same way in a year which is unheard of (I think somebody found one previous case after an internet search). I don't know for sure but I do know Ian Silvester has done dozens of transfers over the years in his time at Leicester, Liverpool, Leeds and Rovers and every other one must have gone through on time and in full compliance. He might be the scapegoat here, the sacrificial lamb to save face and if he does go it will more likely be with an NDA to protect the owners reputation which is all they are bothered about. The real enemies of this club are the owners. -

Even if McGuire is given clearance to sign and play the very fact talks are still going on three days after the window closed is enough for a full investigation particularly after Broughton's big talk about reviewing processes after the O'Brien farce. I wonder if there will be another expensive appeal like last time even though the fault for the debacle was entirely of Rovers own doing. -

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
arbitro replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It's difficult to fight an invisible enemy. If they were actually at the ground the vitriol could be aimed directly at them but I sincerely doubt they have watched a game for years. I suggested a few years ago that one sure fire way to get publicity would be to disrupt a match at Ewood. The easiest way it for a few hundred to sneak whistles into the ground and randomly blow them. The game would be stop/start and confusion would reign. It's cheap and would have the desired effect particularly if they were being blown in three different areas of the ground. -
We are going down (the pessimism thread)

It was a strange one with Szmodics today. He seemed to indicate he had to come off to the bench before the physios got to him. Benson immediately gave the substitution card to the fourth official and Telalovic was getting ready. When Szmodics went to the touchline after brief treatment he saw Telalovic coming on and starting waving his arms angrily. His body language as he walked around the perimeter wasn't good but he didn't appear to go down the tunnel for further treatment but went and sat on the bench. He did have an exchange with Tomasson but that appeared convivial. -
I have seen it and see no reason to doubt what he is saying about resigning with no pay off. Are you implying that he never offered to leave?
-
From the timelines I remember his family were due over in the Summer about the time he had the rug pulled from underneath him. There was a story that his wife was taking a lease out on a shop in Whalley but then suddenly didn't. I don't get why he wanted nothing then but now you think he wants paying up now.
-
How can he want the sack when today he said he offered to leave for nothing in the Summer when the 'project' changed. In light of that wanting a pay out is nonsense.
-
There was an inevitability about today after yesterday's turmoil and so it proved. I thought we started quite brightly and at a decent tempo but after ten or so minutes it regressed into slow, predictable play which suited QPR who grew in confidence particularly with Chair often being given the freedom of Ewood. Lots of mediocrity on display today from far too many players, players who I thought had some fight and bottle but the lack of these worries me about the battle we are increasingly becoming embroiled in week by week. But ultimately the manager is responsible for results and right now we don't look like getting one. I don't criticise Tomasson too often but his changes left a lot to be desired today. Fleck might be lacking match fitness but I think he would have been a far better option to add some bite into midfield. Or even going to a back three by bringing McFazdean on and pushing JRC and Chrisene higher up the pitch. It was good to hear anti Venky chants going round and hopefully a lot more people can now realise that these cretins have reduced a proud, humble football club to ruins.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

I don't know if it's been reported on here as I haven't read through the recent posts but I was told today that Tomasson was actually sacked yesterday by one of the male Venky siblings but reinstated later by the woman Venky. -

This is so confusing. If Tomasson was forbidden from speaking to the press because it was his intention to call the club and various characters out surely he wouldn't have told them in advance what he was about to do. I just don't see it. If the story of him going after today's game is true then that raises a couple of questions. Firstly if he was going of his own volition surely they wouldn't let him pick the team, decide tactics and merely be in charge. If he has been told he is going - effectively sacked - then why would they let him run the show today. Surely either scenario would have a negative impact on the team. But once again the amateur hierarchy at Rovers have a lot to answer for. The abrupt, open ended statement yesterday has fuelled all this speculation. If he is leaving or has been sacked just tell everyone rather than allowing damaging speculation to be rife on an important match day. You really couldn't make some of this stuff up. -

I was in my car just earlier (about 6.15) and Nixon was on Radio Lancashire. His usual pontificating was evident but my ears pricked up when he said a delegation (that might not be the exact word he used) from Rovers will be visiting India soon to meet the owners. He wasn't as ebullient in his tone when he said it so it might have been him giving it the big ITK but he definitely said it. -

Me neither Den but for the life in me I can't see Tomasson being in charge tomorrow and leaving immediately after. His credibility will be shot to pieces if he has agreed to that. I think he will leave and I really thought it would be today. -

Why on earth would Tomasson be in charge tomorrow and leave immediately after? Than just isn't going to happen. I think he might well leave soon but under those circumstances, never. -

Surely it can only be Broughton or Waggott who have silenced him today. If so what are they afraid of. That is a really worrying development for me. -
