  1. Why on earth would Tomasson be in charge tomorrow and leave immediately after? Than just isn't going to happen. I think he might well leave soon but under those circumstances, never.
  2. Surely it can only be Broughton or Waggott who have silenced him today. If so what are they afraid of. That is a really worrying development for me.
  3. Fleck I subject to EFL approval? Has this been officially confirmed yet?
  4. Apologies this should have gone in the Adam Wharton thread
  5. It's great that tomorrow we will have some actual football to focus on rather than the disappointment of the last few days and I'm looking forward to it. It will be intriguing to see if Tomasson gives McFazdean his debut but I don't know his fitness levels. If he does play will he to for a back three with McFazdean in the centre. I have read that he is better in a three as he relishes the physical challenge of playing up against a big centre forward and his lack of pace isn't exposed as much. Will O'Riordan get a game or even Koumetio? Suddenly Tomasson has defensive options after being depleted recently. I can't see McGuire or Fleck starting particularly the latter who must be way off in terms of fitness after very little football so far this season. QPR have one win in five but with a player like Chair in their team will always be dangerous.
  6. I honestly can't say I'm too disappointed simply because I've learned over the past thirteen years that getting my hopes up only leads to anger and frustration. The objective to me was simple - raise some money to keep the lights on at Ewood and Adam Wharton was the collateral damage here. We have sold the family silver and in that respect have played our last ace as there really isn't another Adam in the pipeline right now. This 'project' that Broughton babbled on about has gone into reverse as we have signed aging players albeit on short of loan deals and our best Academy player arguably ever has gone, gone too early in my view. No doubt we will hear about how we are planning for the summer now, how January is a difficult market etc. The recruitment department has failed massively here as the panic signings of the last few days have proved.
  7. Cue Broughton preparing his patronising post window interview where he praises the owners for their continued support and extols their virtues with his toothy, smarmy grin.
  8. You can hear the emotion in his voice.
  9. You can take the lad out of Blackburn.......... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/february/01/-i-ll-be-cheering-the-lads-on-from-afar----adam/ That for me was an emotional read. I have many things to hate these horrible Indians for but reading that really struck a chord of how they have ruined us culminating in a young local lad leaving because of their gross mismanagement. Thanks for the pleasure and enjoyment you brought to us all Adam in your all too brief Rovers career.
  10. I think we are only allowed to have five loan players in our matchday squad. We currently have Moran, Ayari, Chrisene and McFazdean. It would be utterly pointless bringing more that that number in.
  11. Broughton and his recruitment team have made a great play about their scouting and how they have various lists in case some transfers break down. We must be on list X by now judging by some of the names being linked.
  12. No doubt some of the wannabe ITK's will have picked up on this post and put it out there as "my sources tell me.....". 🤣🤣
  13. Warnock saved them from relegation and he went in September to make way for Darren Moore. Moore has flopped, been sacked and now they are once again linked with Warnock to save them. Is there no accountability from the people who make these decisions?
  14. The owners will be delighted with Broughton. Selling a kid for £20+m - a kid they wouldn't recognise if he knocked on their front door. Broughton will be feted by that lot as he has saved them from embarrassment amongst the Indian elite.
  15. Palace were tracking him after his debut at Blackpool. Freedman was at the next game we played after Parrish told him to watch Adam. But there was lots of interest from big clubs, most of whom have watched him at some stage since Adam made his debut. I have been told Palace only stepped up their interest last week by talking to Broughton and Adams representatives. I was also told his agent has also had direct contact with Venkys.
  16. Adam knows the financial situation and probably feels some burden to leave and alleviate it. If you honestly believe that the money from Palace will be invested in the playing side then you must have been asleep for thirteen years. The wages can be paid now without approval from an Indian judge, the lights can stay on and the milkman paid.
  17. We have sold top players, of course we have. This is different as he never asked to go, only recently signed a new contract and was extremely happy living at home and playing for Rovers. There was no release clause in his new deal as far as I'm aware. Join those dots and it tells me he was pressurised into going so the club can stave off possible administration. Duff, Dunn, Jones and Phillips moving were completely different circumstances to Adam leaving.
  18. Adam has become collateral damage in the circus that we have become. Just imagine a 19 year old kid being pressurised into leaving because of the mess we are in, a 19 year old local lad who loves the club and never, ever indicated he wanted to go. I just don't believe we will see another Adam Wharton again and thanks to the idiots running this club we are being denied seeing him in a Rovers shirt for a bit longer. I feel cheated by these charlatans once again.
  19. Our cup games this season have yielded an amazing amount of goals. In total there have been 37 goals in 6 games. We have scored 27 and conceded 10.
  20. A really enjoyable night at Ewood as we pretty much dominated from start to finish and could really have win by more. We started well with quick play and good movement and it's no coincidence that Dolan was back allowing us to do just that. We had a sloppy few minutes then where we gave the ball away cheaply and gifted them a goal. Whilst frustrated I wasn't overly concerned and once we got back into our groove we battered them as they couldn't handle our pace of movement. Winning and going through was the priority tonight and the icing on the cake was playing well, playing at a good tempo with crisp, accurate passing. Another pleasing aspect was how we dealt with their physical threat and how our centre halves look more confident with a better keeper behind them. P!ease can we unban those gobby Wrexham fans for a while now, I'd like to read their ramblings after getting mullered😄😄.
  21. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/january/23/ticket-news--rovers-v-wrexham/ According to this you can but I thought I'd read originally that no tickets were available after 5 pm.
  22. It was bitterly cold at Leyland today and the game didn't really do a lot to take my mind off the cold. We were the better team in the first half but it was a particularly low bar with Newcastle looking poor. We should have had more than the one goal we had as we created some decent chances. Newcastle made a couple of changes at half time and it was a role reversal from them as they were the better side and caused us problems. They deservedly equalised and at that point you would have said there was only going to be one winner and it wasn't us. We made a couple of changes and started to get back into the game and the winner came from a Gilsenan near post corner headed home smartly by Nsangou. It was pleasing to see Isaac Whitehall back on the pitch although clearly it's going to take him some time to get up to speed after such a lengthy period out. Joe Hilton made some really good saves in the second half to keep us in the game. Another highlight was Gilsenan almost scoring from forty yards as he saw the keeper off his line and tried to chip it over him but it just drifted narrowly wide.
  23. The under 21 team to be announced soon for today's game will give a strong indication of who will be on the bench tomorrow.
