  1. ££££ which we haven't got.
  2. Impossible imo to disagree, but you have to allow yourself that little bit of optimism that the change will bring about an improvement in the short term. There's nothing else left to cling on to.
  3. A Agreed. In the long term this looks tantamount to rearranging a couple of deckchairs on the Titanic given that Venky's still have their financial issues and Waggott and Broughton appear to have emerged from the latest debacle unscathed. In the short term however a different voice and possibly a more pragmatic approach at times, hopefully he can provoke a reaction out of the players and get us the points we need to avoid the drop this season. A very warm welcome to the Club and the best of luck John.
  4. Yep, you can clearly see where Broughton's coming from - he's well up for " the project" I.e. sell anything that moves. As for JDT, sad to see him go, I'll remember him not for the recent bad League results but as someone who tried to instill pride, standards and ambition into the Club. Ultimately to no avail sadly. Oh and some fantastic Cup results. Wish him all the best for the future.
  5. Grrr.....didn't refresh the page. A lot better appointment than I expected in the circumstances, he's going to need all the luck in the world working for these owners, Waggott and especially if GB is picking the players for him.
  6. Wasn't mentioned as leaving along with JDT and Rene, you just know he's going to pop back up like a bad "egg".
  7. So we're plummeting towards the relegation zone and have no manager but at least we've started looking for a new one! Nothing much gets past those in charge at Ewood. You've got to get up pretty early in the morning to get one over on them. It's truly heartwarming to know we're in such capable hands.
  8. Things are on hold while Balaji just takes a call from Simon Grayson's agent.
  9. I actually quite wish he was staying for the Cup games.
  10. "No further news today?"
  11. Especially if Eustace is announced as the new "Manager". If he's described as the new "Head Coach" I'll be panicking.
  12. I'm just going to put that down as a bit of guff in the Press and not even entertain the possibility
  13. "David Lowe's Blue and White Army!"
  14. Which one, Steve or Owen?
  15. Agreed, but I wouldn't be that surprised if we miraculously somehow just miss out on Eustace and end up with someone way worse. I wasn't comparing the 2 directly.
  16. It wasn't me that said that about putting tickets up but if they do you'll be right.
  17. Whilst I'm not overly excited at the prospect I actually think it would be a surprisingly solid appointment in all the circumstances. My worry is, it's not done yet and I hope it doesn't turn into another Warnock moment. (There you are, I was the first to say it)
  18. If you have to SEND confirmation of his appointment to the EFL as well, we're goosed.
  19. It seems you're right in saying JDT has gone, as for the rest, who knows? You don't expect Rovers PR Dept. to actually do anything do you?
  20. That has to be a major worry that all the various supporters groups should be all over, demanding answers from Waggott and the Board once the managerial search (which no doubt we'll manage to turn into another fiasco) is over.
  21. Figure of speech obviously jim. Which will have some merit if he emerges from all this unscathed. I note no-one objects to all and sundry labelling Waggott as a spiv, 2nd hand car dealer (even though he obviously isn't a 2nd hand car dealer) etc etc!!
  22. "Most of his best work goes unseen" They used to say that about Corry Evans. I'm far from convinced in the ability of this lot to get Eustace or anyone for that matter over the line within a reasonable time scale. I think it's a bit premature to be talking of models being abandoned at this stage but if the model of selling anything of value that moves were to be ditched I'd be all for it.
  23. In the absence of any news to the contrary presume slimy twat Broughton will be keeping his head down and will emerge unscathed when someone is appointed by which time another abysmal transfer window and the Mcguire fiasco will be conveniently forgotten?
  24. Christ on a bike. Perhaps we'd better hope we don't win or he might get the permanent gig.
