  1. Aside from the Nations League being practically meaningless to begin with, cant for the life of me understand Carsley being left in charge for these 2 games. Whatever he does in terms of tactics or personnel is absolutely irrelevant and the result is almost as unimportant given he will be leaving the post imminently.
  2. It's very much up for debate whether or not they even have to match money sent over like for like. My reading of the previous Court judgment reproduced on here is that they merely have to provide personal guarantees to cover any money transferred. And of course Waggott has previously declared on more than one occasion that there is "no impediment" to them funding the Club as normal which would be nearer to them having to merely provide guarantees as opposed to double funding. Looks nailed on for another adjournment tomorrow though given the position in the Court list. The farce rolls endlessly on. A cynic might say the owners are finding this endless delay quite convenient.
  3. He was all right today, the vast majority of the time though he's absolutely shocking and doesn't warrant a place in the side. JRC is outdoing him this season though.
  4. Pears was excellent today, if that save from Johansson on Wednesday was allegedly "world class" (it wasn't) then so was Pears save from the low shot today in the 58th minute. Don't suppose anyone is saying that about Pears though. Lol. In general thought it was a great performance until the first substitution when Eustace inexplicably tried fixing something that wasn't broken and nearly cost us what had up to that point looked like a routine 3 points.. Fortunately the second batch of substitutions stemmed the tide and we got away with it. Travis was superb today, conversely I still think Tronstad is extremely over-rated - and that's being kind. Cantwell tends to overplay in the opposition box when he should be pulling the trigger but otherwise played quite well. Also tends to fade markedly in the second half. Ohashi and Pears also very good.
  5. Hope that's how the bookies see it. As we haven't scored in 437 minutes, it's only going one way in reality.
  6. Give over. Great effort, decent save at a convenient height.
  7. Think people are exaggerating the Stoke keeper's performance. He made a few good saves you'd hope your keeper would make, not much more than that.
  8. He was good first half, disappeared without trace second half. Bit of a show pony for me, looks flashy but it's mostly all window dressing. He's hardly a 27 goal machine like Szmodics who let's face it was the only thing that kept us up by the skin of our teeth last season.
  9. No one left in the Blackburn End and who can blame them?
  10. So we finally go 2 up top with less than seven minutes of normal to go and promptly concede a soft penalty. We look nailed on to go down for me. Wonder if the bookies have cottoned on to how bad we are yet.
  11. Gallagher wouldn't even have been on the end of it. Not that it makes any difference.
  12. Dear me Gueye. He's never going to score is he?
  13. 1-0 down at home. Like for like sub again. I've tried to defend Eustace to date but fuck off that's insulting everyone's intelligence.
  14. Not really. Made a couple of good saves but that's about it.
  15. At least he shows for the ball.
  16. Is Tronstad even playing? Another one doing nothing and getting away with murder.
  17. Great save by Pears. Pickering AWOL as usual.
  18. Haven't really troubled their keeper though.
  19. Unless we go 2 up top Ohashi needs to be told to stay central. When he drifts wide there's no one to pass to in the middle.
  20. Brittain hasn't been as bad as normal but I think the quality of his attacking output is vastly over rated. Can't defend either. Pickering a massive downgrade on Beck unfortunately.
  21. Yeah, we're only fourteen and a half games in and dropping fast. We're 22nd in the form table.
  22. 392 minutes without a goal. Sooner or later Eustace is going to have to throw caution to the wind and get 2 forwards on up front. If he won't do it at home against a middle to lower ranking side it's difficult to say when he will do it.
  23. He's shocking every week and has done the square root of fuck all ever since he joined the Club. Picks up his wage for nothing like quite a few over the years.
