Yep, even a half competent striker in that side scores at least 2 in that half alone. We do play some nice football, and have done all season. Missed chances and conceding daft goals has been the story so far. But I’ll remain optimistic. I predicted we’d dick these before KO, not seen anything to change my mind.

Hill looked decent and Brittain again really good. Once again, we need to make it count, but the game is ours to win. Also Wahlstedt not being Pears is an immediate upgrade.

Whilst you're not wrong, I don't think there's any disputing that we've played well in the vast majority of those games. Results are the important bit, but we can't ignore the performances.

Genuinely, who has this opinion? I've not seen it anywhere. JDT has done a very good job for us so far, but he absolutely has flaws. If he didn't, he'd be managing at a much higher level that the Championship. Haven't seen a single Rovers fan suggest that he can 'do no wrong'?

Absolutely no point in taking notice of the table at this stage - Preston are at the top end, for example. It’ll level out, as it always does. Our performances have been mostly good so far, the results will catch up once we start cutting out the soft goals.

Disappointing to be behind, obviously, but some really encouraging play so far today. First one was a soft one to concede from a corner, but I think we’ve got at least another goal in us. Moran and Sigurdsson are very good additions and think most have done well so far. I’d shove Gilsenan on at some point, the unknown factor would work in our favour.

Glad to see Markanday stay in the team after midweek. Shame about Pears. Should be a good game, let’s hope we don’t gift daft goals yet again…

Will be a tough game, they’re a good side at this level. I’d either go with 3 CBs (Hill coming in) or have Tronstad as the pivot in midfield. This would free A.Wharton up to do his thing further upfield, with either a box to box next to him (Travis/Garrett) or Moran. I’d go with Szmodics as a false 9, with Sigurdsson and Markanday either side. Wouldn’t be upset with a point, but we should be aiming to win every home game. 2-1 Rovers.

That bottom bit might not be a bad thing - the current incumbent writes like my 11 year old lad. Lots of ‘could’ve, should’ve’ and repeated adjectives within the same paragraphs.

I think he’ll be a big player for us this season. Has been a bit lightweight and wasteful in periods of his league appearances, but that has been mixed with genuine quality. Once he’s fully integrated, he and Sigurdsson are going to be massive for us this season. Guess you have to give credit to the club for persuading both to come. There were clearly many other options for them.
