By the way if anyone here fancies it. Clitheroe cc are in the final of the lancs league equivalent of the fa cup tomorrow. They’re boldly claiming it’s the biggest sporting event the town has ever seen based on 1,500 tickets sold. Conveniently ignoring Clitheroe fc fa vase semi final where had 2,500 on. But from what I gather there’s some sort of ill will as it’s a dingle based team (lowerhouse). I wasn’t that arsed about the result but when I heard of a large dingle contingent I’m bang up for this.

Is agree with this generally. But sharma and kholi were grounded and learnt proper technique in red ball cricket first and foremost then turned their hand to McCricket very successfully. The fact they can adapt and play both and England can’t is a source of irritation but I fear with the current structure of favouring white ball cricket it encourages players like Roy who rely solely on hand eye coordination and power and zero technique.

Ending of Match-Day Programmes
matt83 replied to CambridgeRover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Why is it a non league outfit in tier 7 of the football pyramid can produce a match day programme. Yet Rovers don’t have the resources or inclination to do so. 🤔. Tin pot rovers. In fact I wonder of all the professional clubs how many have decided they can’t or won’t do match day programmes. -
£101.10 for a Clitheroe-London standard off-peak train ticket!!!!! Plus £27 match ticket. £128.10 to watch Mowbray’s misfits. This football lark ain’t cheap these days.

That’s the type of ball hameed was always out to in that season he averaged 9. Just a straight line and length delivery.

Bailey had 2 overs spare. I was really mad about that over was a bit like stokes v the windies.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The cult of Tony Mowbray

Yeah it’s one thing the reserves losing at home to morecambe but a virtual first team. 😬

There once was a man named Swag. Who paid for Mowbray’s big flag. He’s shit at his job. We think he’s a knob. 300k! Must be a gag.

Good win. Can’t say I’m any more optimistic about the future but take it where can get it. -

It’ll be one of the few occasions there’s over 10,000 this season I reckon unless there’s a big away following. -

Very few pennies drop for him. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if they’re getting the hair dryer treatment for not topping the possession chart. -

They don’t stand to make money on academy lads coming through. But a housing development…. -

And will we have some new post match excuses. Sure there’ll be the old classics like we’re on a journey, hugely frustrated, we go again, defenders are coming. Probably too early to blame the pitch. We’ve been promoted from league one must have past its sell by date. Maybe he’ll go full on Kean with the owners can see what I’m trying to do here. -

I’d be astonished if get more than that. Opening day, unprecedented (outside of war) of not being a competitive game for 18 months by rights there should be 18,000 home fans on. I’m going for 7,500 home fans plus whatever Swansea bring. -

Not interested in going today in the slightest. Seeing Mowbray’s gurning face in his pre match ramblings about opening day fixtures just puts me right off. Few weeks ago I thought I’d go regardless to give him shit when we churn out the usual dross and that’s clearly not the best attitude to go with in the first place but just can’t be arsed. Shambles of a club. Lions vs saffas and England vs India for me today. 2 decent alternatives but if neither game was on something would be better then watching Mowbray’s Ewood park circus. In fact out of 20 or so people I know that watch rovers (not together). Only 2 are going. Some aren’t in the area, others might go if hadn’t already made plans but the fact they’re even making plans speaks volumes of where rovers now rank in their lives. -
Waste of a piece of paper. Still no apology either. Whoever wrote it (my guess is swag) have wasted their time.

Norwich or Palace this lad will fail in the prem, he’s got the pace but any defender worth his salt will mark him out of the game. In my humble opinion. Plus he’ll not get away with his shoot on sight policy even if he’s 30 yards away in the prem.

Summer transfer window 2021.
matt83 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Some people never learn. He refers to that “little weasel Kean”. What’s the betting while Kean was in charge he was one of those who gave Kean his full support until he was sacked. -
I hope it swings all over the shop in this series bit of payback for the conditions in India. I see there’s no spinner. That’s definitely been done because have zero confidence in the batsmen. Not that we have a test quality spinner anyway. Also a hat tip to the ecb who’s McCricket obsession means going into a test series with no red ball cricket in over a month. Most back when played in Chennai.
