For what it's worth, he won the Swedish League two years in a row while managing Malmö FF. I don't particulary like Malmö FF, so I can't really say what the opinion of him was/is in that club. But they are (by far) the richest club in Sweden, and are more or less expected to win each year. But the job still had to be done. Personally I would rather have seen Knutsen, as I think he's a more exciting manager. But I still not disappointed with JDT.

Supposedly he rejected both Rosenborg (Norwegian giants) and LA Galaxy to stay in Bodö. And I assume that him having a contract to 2024 would be a stumbling block. Unless he has a clause for foreign clubs.

Knutsen would be an interesting signing, if possible. What he and his team has done in Bodö/Glimt is very impressive. Would also be nice to not be in for one of the regular old dinosaurs that roam the market. However, is there any actual proof of interest or just speculation based on the DoF appointment?

Regarding Treacy, I wonder how many cases there are that not made public, I know of examples myself on a very low level, people who are very good at sports but then discover that it's funnier to drink and party. Sad really. I have one memory of Treacy as a player, it was a friendly game a long time ago, he was tackled by an opponent who gestured for him to get up. The next moment, Warnock just clobbers that opponent and screams at him to get up. That guy then limped off. 😄 That was just a sweet moment of one of the older players standing up for one of the younger ones.
