JDT keeps telling us we shouldn't be near the top of the table, it's too early in the project, the team is still inexperienced, we are ahead of where we expect to be at this stage etc. Which is all fine IF there is a solid plan in the summer to get what we need to continue to build. Hiding behind projects and FFP by bringing freebies and loans isn't going to cut it.

No doubts that Broughton has a huge summer ahead. This season has been a complete catastrophe and it can only be deemed a success in anyway if the foundations that have been put in place are built on.

Yeah I'm not sure about Szmodics dropping deeper or starting Dolan at all tbh. If Szmodics drops deeper maybe start Hedges and Thomas and put BBD in the middle but all his success has come off the left and he's been pretty poor of late anyway. Our lack of decent options is quite frustrating.

So the championship team of the season has been named. 10 of the 11 players come from the teams that occupy the top 5 places at present: Dingles Sheff Utd Boro Luton Coventry With the 11th player playing for Bristol City. Rovers have been in the top 6 all season (up until now) and yet you couldn't make a case for anyone of our lot. I guess it highlights just how inconsistent our players are and how we really don't have a couple of standout players at all. Hyam is about as good as we've got and you wouldn't be making a decent claim he deserves to be in it.
