Aaron Ramsey has rejoined Cardiff. He's 32 but if he can stay clear of injuries, potentially be a great signing for them.
-
Weston for the 3rd. Don't really know alot about him but good to see another academy player getting involved (and scoring)
-
Szmodics makes it 2
-
5-0 Trav with a 40 yard lob. Edit: According to Sharpe, Trav has been excellent today. Edit, edit: Rovers twitter reckons it was 45 😋
-
4-0 JRC having a stormer
-
Leonard scores and makes it 2. Glad to see him on the scoresheet.
-
Nope 0-0 at half time
-
Good to see players like Batty, Leonard, Grady-Macken & Gilsenan getting a chance. It's only game 1 of preseason but let's hope 1 or 2 catch the eye of the gaffer.

It's only pre season but Rovers are back!

23/24 kit; is a new sponsor needed?

Ok, these look way better and now I don't like the new kit as much. -

I like the shirt but I really wish we were sponsored by someone with a better logo. -
Farke is quite a sensible appointment (especially for Leeds), I reckon they'll be up there
-
Sheff Wed have appointed Xisco Munoz. I think he got Watford promoted? (But sacked soon after?) Another one that could work out very well. Although he's had 2 jobs after Watford and not been very good in either, so who knows 🤷
-
Leeds in talks with Farke. Could go either way bit I reckon he'll do alright there.

Strange appointment that, not sure why they have decided to re-appoint Roy, a 75 year old bloke, as their manager again. Seems incredibly lazy. He came I'm last season to save them from the mess Viera left them in and he did a good job and kept them up. But that was surely the short term plan and they were doing their homework and getting a list of managers together in the background who could come in this season? How are they going to push forward with such short term planning. Don't think they will go down but another season of just staying up seems to be all they are bothered about.

Gerrard's off to manage in Saudi by the looks. Removes another potential option for Leeds/Leicester. -
Yeah I saw that Kante was going for big money and they're obviously chucking silly money at Messi to try and get him across. I keep seeing random Twitter posts (from like Sportsbible and similar accounts) asking if people believe the Saudi league is one of the top 5 in the world. Seems to be a huge push from them, as you say, probably in a bid to land the WC.

Yes, I know they are not in the premier league anymore it was merely a comparison of where their potential new owners would sit with regards to wealth, which I read in an article a couple of months ago (when they were in the prem). I don't have a comparison for the championship but it's irrelevant anyway, the point is that they would be backed by wealthy owners, who are likely to have a strong desire to bounce back to the prem at the first time of asking. They could easily appoint a new DoF and then JDT (or the other way around, makes no difference). He joined us and had to play catch up, it would be a lot easier to do that with a big transfer kitty. Playing squad will need some work no doubts but that's the same for most teams that are relegated. -

If that takeover happens they will have plenty of cash (would be around the 10th richest owners in the premier League, apparently). You never know, they might bring in a DoF setup. The main point is, that Leeds could easily offer more than us, if the takeover happens probably even more then they can currently.
