  1. Who else is off?
  2. There can't have have been many (if any) fans, coaches, players, even Mowbray himself, who believed he would still be in the job when the season ended, after such a horrific run towards the end. You could imagine that some of the players were a little disheartened to see him still in the job when they reported back for pre season training.
  3. Yep, we are 1-0 down. Ayala gave away a pen and they scored from it.
  4. Crooke seems to be under the impression that we are reverting back to 4-2-3-1 instead of the 4-3-3 we played last season. Mowbray really was watching Southgate's England over the summer.
  5. Yer, the Ben Marshall one was an interesting listen.
  6. Only other rumours kicking about before was Reach on a free. Ex Boro so fit the bill nicely. That's gone totally dead as well.
  7. He was probably the only rumour still kicking about for us.
  8. The manager and assistant manager don't agree on how we should play? This is going to end really well, I'm sure.
  9. I like that kit, decent. Hope the away one is good too.
  10. The team in general has been but that's because Venkys have just hired a string of poor managers over the last 10 years.
  11. Harsh? Yes Correct? Definitely
  12. Entertaining that, cheers. Mowbray saved us from oblivion? Must have missed that.
  13. Wow, that is a terrible story. I didn't even know his career was over at 26!
  14. They are already asking to be fair:
  15. Genuinely think you might be right on that one. I don’t have much faith that we will have a good start though to be honest. In fact I think i think we will struggle.
  16. No doubts. Shows the level we are at, anywhere between 0 to 100 likes on twitter for most Rovers posts. The last goal of the day video got about 4.5k views Brereton video 87.4k views and 12.4k likes. Surprised Waggot isn't over there now trying to flog season tickets!
  17. Brereton will have Brereton Diaz on his shirt this season, largely thanks to 10,000 Chileans on twitter. That's about as interesting as it gets at the moment.
  18. More chance of Mowbray getting another years extension than Cooper being appointed here.
  19. Barely even a rumour around at the moment regarding Rovers transfer business.
  20. Why did we do that though? Surely we knew the rules and how we would be punished, also knowing that we would be out of an embargo when the accounts were submitted? So why did we put ourselves on the back foot from the off, instead of submitting them in line with the EFL deadline?
  21. Less needless tinkering from Mowbray. Also less chance for him to try and correct his original terrible line up. He's going to be gutted.
  22. It would have been incredibly harsh and initially we wouldn't have come out of it without criticism. Hindsight obviously has helped on this one but Mowbray is never, ever taking us to where we need to be. We all knew this the day he walked through the door, based on his failings at other clubs. Fair enough, give him the next season but ultimately, what was the point in the end? He wasn't going to become a great manager overnight. At the end of that season, at the absolute latest he should have been replaced but that is just testament to the lack of ambition Rovers show these days. He's now been kept in charge so long, he's about to have us regressing to the point where we were when he first arrived.
  23. Worryingly, Mowbray has probably been the best they've managed to find, which is some effort considering how poor he has been. There isn't a manager that they have employed that I would have back here. Some of those, I'd be quite happy for them never to set foot in the country again. Mowbray's time was up at the end of out first season back in the Championship. A more ambitious club might have seen the light immediately after promotion and replaced him then. Him getting the next season out of courtesy was acceptable. But the magic "journey" he's been telling us about for years has clearly been rubbish. His signings don't match the style he's trying to implement and based off Downings last interview, even some of the players aren't happy with his rotation policy. He's still making the same mistakes now, that he made at Celtic. He's well and truly overstayed his welcome and we are now looking at season of struggle. If Mowbray stays for the full season, we will be fortunate to avoid relegation.
