Wharton is out for the season and Williams is out for a few months. Wouldn't expect Williams to be back anytime soon or to stay fit for any reasonable period of time either. Without question we need another centre back, might end up with a loan, which is fine but in the summer it needs some serious work.

His only managerial experience is being the manager of Dinamo Tbilisi from the Georgian league. Looks like he only joined them as manager earlier this year as well. So not an experienced manager by any stretch. Edit: Turns out he was only in charge of his last (and only job) for 11 games. This appointment has not gone down well on the Watford twitter post about his arrival.

Why did we sign an injury prone player knowing our other 2 main centre backs were injury prone?

Shambolic recruitment has led us to playing Johnson at Centre back.

The concern there is that, the interview is from the 3rd October and its now 19th December and he is still no nearer (by all accounts) to signing it. No problems envisaged over 2 months ago but still no new contract signed.

Yer thats the one. Says they took a hammering one saturday game and were all dragged into training on a sunday. Feared the worst, doing loads of running/hard work etc. Coyle had them playing games, heading it over the crossbar to each other stuff like that. Yer, said he enjoyed it here but he wouldn't sign the contract because of the clause and he knew Coyle was taking us down. Terms he got at Wolves were basically the same as what we offered.

Didn't know where to put this but Ben Marshall has done an under the cosh podcast, you can skip to the Rovers part. Doesn't really put him in a good light, he just got pissed constantly throughout his career, first 2 weeks at Rovers just spent on the lash and an interesting story with him and Alex marrow in Manchester too. Talk about coyle and you can see from that alone why he was so crap as a manager.
